Hi all, switched my Kodiak off tonight and the fan stayed on even after the car was switch off and locked. Very loud. Almost thought the engine was still on.  I went back in, switched car ignition on and turned the air con off. Then switched the engine off. This fixed it.Anyone else have this? 

 

Are you sure it was not the radiator fan running, they will sometimes run after the car is turned off if the engine is hot.

Presumably it’s a diesel then it’s normal...

 

Sometimes the fan runs on on my 2019 2.0 Tsi 190, I’m guessing either it’s hot or it’s part way through regenerating the OPFs.

 

It’s also been common on my previous VAG diesels with DPFs.

If it wasn’t the radiator fan - very common for that fan to run on after switching off - was it the Residual Heat button causing the ventilation fan to run on after switching off?

The fan stays on for a while when the regeneration process is interrupted.
