Fabia VRS Max Rims!!!

Featured Replies

Hello all

Trading my Celica 140 Sport for a new VRS a week Thursday. (Can't wait!!!)

Overall I am quite happy with the stock appearance of the VRS but think that a bigger set of rims would finnish the car off.

Therefore is there anybody out there who knows the max size of rims it can take???

Cheers

most guide reccomend 18's as a max

You can go 18, but will need really low profile tyres and this may upset the ride. As a compromise 17's seem to look ok, especially if the car is lowered slightly.

wasnt there a black furby with the a8 rims riding on 19's that was lush

I am thinking of trying a set of 19's with 215/35/19 just for a laugh. Tried 20's but there was no chance lol

octavia vRS wheels look very good on the fabia i think(same basic design but with slimmer spokes, smaller centre section and 17")

:)

Haven't seen it but sounds like the 18's (RS8) rims that I have my eye on !

Cheers for that thread mate (Lummox). Some great looking rim combo's.

The 18in A8 rims look the business, especially on the silver VRS (Colour I have on order!) Mind you the black magic seems to gel well with most rims.

Will probably keep car stock for first few months and then start spending!!!

I wouldn't dare go bigger than 18's tbh. Saying that, my 18's haven't affected the ride much, i've got much better handling and looks .

I'd just be carefull not to get wheels that are too heavy.

Mine on BBS Anniversary Golf wheels.

had another mishap on mud tom?

Richyy, like I keep telling you, a set of 17's and a 30mm drop will see you fine ;)

Does the handling really improve that much with bigger rims?

I kept the origonal 16" alloy size when I changed to the Octavia vRS wheels as I was concerned about the handling getting worse.
