Change to MpH

Featured Replies

Hello! I am a brand new Skoda yeti driver, I love it so far. I am really interested in changing the speed in the maxi dot to MpH from KMpH. A quick google has lead me to believe you need a VCDS. Does anybody in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area have one and know how to do this?

It would help if we knew what model Skoda you have and what year it is - not all of them have the same tweaks.

Of course, sorry about that! I have a 2010 Skoda Yeti S 2.0 TDI CR Manual 5 Door Diesel Estate Hatchback MPV

Does that help?

On most cars it's done by changing the 'Units' settings in the Car/Setup menu. I've always been able to do this in VAG cars when driving in Europe. Is the Yeti the same?

Yes, you don't need VCDS to make that modification.  It is definitely in the setup menu in the car.

The change from kph to mph on the maxidot definitely needs VCDS to change on a Yeti.

According to page 27 of the 2010/05 Yeti Owners handbook, you can set the second speed to mph or km/h as part of the MFA setup. I'm not sure if the OP's car is a 2020/05 or 2010/11, but if he downloads the correct owners manual, I think he will find the answer there.

A 2010 S won't have maxidot unless it's been retrofitted (my current project), the simple test is to open a door and see if you get a full outline of the car with the correct door showing as open, or a little red symbol in the clocks
