Boot by Candlelight...

Featured Replies

I'm sure I've seen a post on this but I can't find it via search :(

Has anyone replaced the pitiful lights in the boot (Facelift VRS Hatch)  with some nice bright LEDs?

Any links to the right / recommended bulbs please?

Cheers

Alan

I replaced them, along with LED bulbs in the interior roof. I have in the past bought some cheaper ones, but they seem to keep glowing a little even when switched off. I then bought some more expensive ones again from ebay. In 2019 they were £15 for 4. The make was AUXITO and they have been fine ever since. The LED bulbs are far superior to standard bulbs.

Punch it into Google and quite a lot come up.

I fitted the ones from Superskoda - SWMBO commented that she needs sunglasses!

Superskoda ones are quite frankly fantastic. I'm out alot needing alot of work gear in and out the boot in the dark and they make a huge difference.

I used these in the boot, and they are very bright, no need for the adaptor cable as they plugged into the existing connector:

For the footwell lights I used these, on the lowest setting they are a nice brightness.  They were a tiny bit loose, so I added some cloth tape to 2 sides and now perfectly tight:
