DPF reading query

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New here, with my mk2 vRS PD170 :)

I was in VCDS, looking at my DPF stats, and saw the following:

  2.42   Particle Filter Carbon Mass
-0.5 %   Carbon Mass Learned Value
  00000000   Status 4 Regeneration
  0.0 s   Regeneration Time (Total)
  0.0   Failed Regenerations
  0.0   Successful Regenerations
  169.0∞C   Temperature bef. Turbo Charger
  134.9∞C   Temperature bef. Particle Filter
253.0 %   Particle Filter Load Coefficient
  117.3∞C   Temperature after Particle Filter

What is the "Particle Filter Load Coefficient"? It seems awfully high. Is this DPF a gonner? Am I safe to trigger a regen?

I'm doing a couple of long drives this weekend, so now would be the perfect time to try forcing it to regen, as it doesn't seem to have taken the hint the last few times I've sat at 2k RPM on a long drive!

I'd really appreciate any/all info you guys may be able to give me on this.

Cheers.
