Further to an interesting meeting at the weekend I've been browsing the website of Impossible Performance. Among the interesting pages was this one :

It's nver been said you can't do on a standard car.....but once you remap it...the light will come on.;)

Ahh..... I diddnt know that - so WTF would anyone pay up to £196.90 for a DV that'll be useless if they remap the car ?!

Never mind, I'll go back to some of the other interesting stuff on their website.................

IIRC there wasnt a problem fitting an atmos valve to the 1.8t until you remapped the car then the extra boost caused problems...

Ran an atmos DV for a couple of weeks on my LCR way before it was chipped...

...no CEL, but fuel economy down into the teens, VAG-COM showed boost leak faults amongst others, and after the first couple of hundred miles, soft limp mode every drive...
