Driver Door Handle Fault (internal)

A cold & frosty morning all. Have had an issue with my internal driver side door handle. Got in car happily enough from outside to warm up and defrost windows, but when I went to get back out no response from internal handle pull. Window opened and external handle pulled again from outside to escape.
AA recovery stripped door apart and confirmed cable retainer broken at handle. Temporarily reset cable to resume function but left with instruction to ‘be gentle’ and visit dealer to resolve under warranty at first opportunity as only 17mths old.

Waiting game now for first available appointment, but not an issue my local dealer recall seeing before on a Karoq. So, a rare fail perhaps, but one I thought worth recording on here in case others experience same.
