Boot dimension with back seats folded

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am looking for a rental car to move my TV box along with other stuff.
I found the Superb 3 Estate but I was wondering if you have specific boot dimensions with back seats folded.

The TV box has folllowing dimensions: 135 cm length, 25 cm width nad 80 cm height.

Please let me know if the Superb has enough space to fit it.

hi

with folded seats you have about 200cm space. When the seats are up this is 114cm

thank you, and what about the boot height?

Thank you, I suppose the height is 800mm. I overlooked the answer in the linked post when I read it before posting.

You shouldn't have any issues for the dimensions you mention. This was a 177cm x 100cm box, in a Superb hatch...

The boot dimensions are as follows:

Height x width x length : big x big x big

OK, joking aside, you'll fit it no problems. Might even fit in a hatch version if you place it so the 800mm is width across.

The hatchback is longer than the estate and the same width. The estate has more height in the boot space.

That's quite misleading. Hatch is longer by a whooping... 5mm :D   which is probably due to bumper design differences. Wheelbase, as well as cabin space is identical in reality between all variants.

Also the 1,77m long box in mine wasn't even touching the back of the front seats, there were around 20cm left if i recall right, hatch or estate would make absolutely no difference in this case.

Which is my point but I accept it was poorly presented. Yes there are very small differences but both hatch and estate are big cars externally. Internally, apart from extra height near the boot lid, they are also similar/the same. I like the look of both but it is the hatch which looks best for me. Others feel the estate is the looker for them.  What amazes me is how it drives like a smaller car!

Fair enough, I interpreted your comment as an objection that fitting in a hatch would not automatically mean it would also fit in an estate.

Yeah I am a hatch/sedan type too. I find that body style can look particularly sporty and/or elegant with the right touches whereas the estate will always have its practicality and optimal cargo carrying abilities in the front page which is not what I'd like my car to be about primarily, if i make sense here...

But we strayed off topic here, OP you're going to be fine regardless of the  body style you choose :D

I have used the superb for a bed mattress measuring 200x90cm, had to slide the front seats a little bit towards the front of the car but not that much.

If it matters i had the "double" floor in its lower position.
