Octavia estates

Featured Replies

I have an Octavia L&K estate. My preference is to have the rear seat headrests removed with the roller shelf and bar out and the backseats down in the max loading position all the time. My hobby as a carp angler means that when my gear is in the car my only option is to cover everything with a blanket.

It would be better if a full fitting roller cover were available from Skoda (in grey or black) that attached behind the front seats with outward expanding bars c/w pads that fit against the rear doors just under the windows and covered everything all the way back to the rear window. There could be a middle hook position so we don't have to climb in to pull the roller cover out every time.

I might have to modify a roller blind perhaps.

Over to you for comments please.

It may be easier to obtain a second roller blind cover and modify it to mount on the front edge of the standard item. There was one for sale on here recently so have a look through the "items for sale" section.

You could use a simple hook mounted in the head rest storage slots in the back edge of the rear seat bases (pointing upwards when tipped forwards) to hook the curtain handle over and thus, hold it in place.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers Goochie - and its still for sale - clicky here :)

Thanks for that but it wouldn't do.

I don't want any cross bar in the middle at all .

Looks like it's back to the roller blind option then.

Might even set an estate trend for snazzy full length internal covers!

You could heavily tint the side and rear windows on the Octavia - or maybe even find a van trimming company who could build some plywood "van effect" paneling into the car ;)

was going to suggest tints.
