Delivery times?

Featured Replies

I read with interest what people put on here.what I don't understand is where do they get there stories from?ie priority been given to certain models of cars.yet someone on here put the figures out that don't back there claims up.or is just whishful thinking because they have ordered one of these so called priority cars?whhen you read everything and to me all models of cars are having the same problem and that means the vast majority of car makers anywhere in the world.just face up to it you like the rest of us will just have to wait until your cars gets delivered to the dealer.yes there is on or two who got there cars sooner then they thought or was it because someone had cancelled there order and that model was available.i don't know but just a thought.

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

I ordered my VRS TSi DSG back in Feburary. It was due to be built w/c 15th August but was then delayed with no information available re when it might actually be complete. Skoda live chat didn't know and the dealer had no further information but they've just confirmed the car is built and is on the way to the port for shipping to the UK.

Bit of a surprise because I've been so used to no info being available but despite theories about diesel and iV being the priority, there's clearly hope for anyone who ordered the petrol engine. I'm now just praying that it doesn't turn up with the litany of tech issues that so many others have experienced.

Also, as a side note, I complained to Skoda Customer Relations and they've been very helpful. That help included providing a hire car for a month for a family holiday so, although the wait has been frustrating, I wanted to share that positive experience.

Can I ask you who did you complain to? As I am getting really frustrated about the lack of information I get. Thanks

Hi Len, how did you go about complaining to them. As I am getting really frustrated with the lack of information from them. Thank you .

Hi Bob,

I emailed [email protected]. They weren't able to give me any more info about delivery times but they did help out with the hire car and they had a customer service rep assigned to the case who followed up and made sure it was all sorted to my satisfaction.

I Just got answered mail that I addressed on skoda-auto.cz customer support…they couldn’t give me any details about the delivery but at least they did answered me and that’s a big plus.

So 10 months after placing my order I’ve finally got an update. The car is in some port in Europe waiting to be shipped. I think he said it’s hate 38? Apparently my car is the oldest one on the dealers order sheet.

Realistically what timescale am I looking at for it to arrive in the UK?

I am just about to order an Octavia VRS 1.4 Phev, I am being quoted April but want to ask if anyone is in the same position and what the real delivery times look like?

I ordered my Octavia VRS 1.4 PHEV in May and it was registered at the dealer today. Picking it up on Friday.

John

@Derek Mc

They look like April 2022 or later unless you are lucky.

Was that someone @ Ingram Ayr that told you the truth?

I am ordering via Fleet UK in Hampshire sadly I couldn't get a deal near as good locally (I live in East Ayrshire) he is phoning Skoda dealer he uses local so thank you, it seems quite close to reality so far.

Maybe try a call or email yourself to Skoda Specialist Cars Dundee part of the John Clark group and you might well get a truthful reply, maybe even a pleasant surprise.

Well,,, I spoke to them and the salesman there (Harry) advised that 6 months should see it with me but not much less than that!, so now I know I put my BMW away this week and will have six months in my daughters Fiat 500!

I ordered my VRS through Specialist Cars Dundee on Sept 29th and was told March 2022 delivery at the earliest. Sent an email this morning for a cheeky update, just waiting for a reply. Got to recommend them as I got a great deal from them.

I just ordered a Race Blue VRS TSI from Drive the Deal. Quoted 30 weeks, also couldn’t build with Canton stereo or Park assist. Last had VRS in 2010. I’ve just joined forum and hoping software issues we be sorted by the time car arrives.

No news for mine, but I've finally seen a first Mamba Green vRS arrive in the country at one of the dealers, so hopefully something is slowly starting to budge.

I do hope my March order will get caught up in this factory closure to finish some of the sitting cars.

Ordered my VRS phev around a month ago, originally quoted March i think, then immediately changed to July. Hoping it’s more in line with your timescales!

RS iV ordered in august. Expected end of january earliest.

I’ve been following this thread for a while, thought I’d add my journey so far:

ordered my Octavia Estate PHEV in June, but it was actually placed by the dealer in July as I ordered the 2021 spec and it changed to the 2022 spec so had to resubmit. Currently scheduled for build next week (1st Nov). Dealer estimated late December for delivery. I guess much of this may still change

Hope you are right about your delivery  in December,I think you  would of read a lot of us got dates as well but have changed numerous times up to now I think I have had 5 delivery dates .so don't be disappointed to much if your date ends up been pie in the sky.fingers crossed you may be one of the lucky ones.

I hope so! I’ve had a few dates before this too, was originally given a date in October, then it went to November and then December. Fortunately the Dealer is pretty good at updating me, so I’ll find out next week if it actually started build and if there are any parts to finish it…

Seems like there’s no logic and all luck from what everyone is going through

I get a update every Friday and the only difference Is the date of delivery .the rest the same old story.some day I might get good news.not holding my breath .i know all car mailers are having the same problems but what gets to me how random people are getting there cars.no logic at all you would of thought you order the car and you are on a list and ypiut time for delivery comes around.simple to its bit not to.

I recently got an update and they told me there is no date. There is plenty of logic, car needs thousands of parts and there are many combinations possible and they have hundreds of suppliers, everyone is having issues so it becomes a mess.

Hi everyone. I’m brand new to the forum but have been following this thread with interest since ordering my vRS iV at the end of July in the UK. To be fair to the dealer I was quoted end of December 21 and I’ve been kept up to date, including the latest factory shutdown news. However, I wanted to change cars earlier so opted to buy a Sept 21 registered vRS iV (Race Blue, DCC, Canton, blind spot, HUD) with a similar spec, but was hatch rather than estate. Have to say really enjoying the car and it compares well to my previous Jaguars, Audi and BMW. I’ve kept my factory order running and dealer is keen to help me swap out of this car in a few months.

Ordered my Skoda Octavia 1.5 mild hybrid on 6th of August. Still no information about the car. Man if i get it till April 2022, i would be so happy...
