  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

On a side note, I’ve been seeing more of them on the streets lately, both versions, limo and hb. It just makes me wanna stop them and ask when did they get them and if they are satisfied - if it’s worth the wait 😊

i have been looking out for 22 plates on the road and there is not many.about.then low and behold 2 skodas in 1 minute passed me,under my breath i said lucky b76543d

Quick update to my order.

Called yesterday (today is 11 months from order), apparently car is "in production".

They told me that they will contact main importer to get more accurate news if the "in production" status stays until next week. Apparently they have less infos than main importer!

Their opinion was that some part is probably missing but that it should be completed soon (few days). If it does it should be in Slovenia in approx. 14-30 days!

Honestly i don`t believe anything they say, so i am waitting for next week to either get some proof or new BS news

Interesting to hear what you get out of them. Mine has been "in production" for 5 weeks. Dealer guesses it will surely come before summer. Pretty sure its waiting for the door panels.

So the same dealer, we both have diesel hatchback - you ordered in april and your car is in production, I ordered mine in march and my car is  still not in production. Wtf?

I feel the same a lot of the time  :D But with you at the same dealer is crazy 😕 At this point i think we will see the car in the summer or even later. There is no logic in Skoda's production and delivery system.

It amazes me how some of you are able to get some info, I only have a week (20 or 22 maybe), but not sure what would happen that week - delivery, beginning of production,…?

I have no info at all not a week, not an estimate if it will even be this year. Litteraly no info at all till date. From an estimate delivery oktober 2021 to no info at at all makes us decide not to go for a VW grp again as the next car.

I totally understand you…same here. I was just reading today the review of new VW T-Roc and they (vw) are so proud that they could keep three main and popular models ( polo, t-cross and t-roc)  in regular delivery 4-6 months…they have serious problems with golf and Tiguan, Tuareg, Passat and I.D 3 are marked as not possible for delivery and škoda keeps introducing new models without delivering even the regular ones 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well to be honest…if I didn’t choose kamiq over t-cross I’m sure I would have it already and driving it for few months…but, it is what it is 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hard to believe VAG (and many others) can produce any models in less than 6 months at this time.

Even if this claims otherwise https://www.marnet-mobility.de/aktuelle-lieferzeiten.html

That clearly shows no Skoda is less than 6 months

Karoq (quickest with some specs is 6 months) other specs upto 9 months

New Fabia is now minimum 7 months

Octavia is now minimum 11 months

For UK (and probably Finland where @timster is) also need to allow for ship transfer from Emden, so can add about 3 weeks.   So Skoda ordered today will be November through to many months into 2023 before it arrives.

Friend ordered T-Cross 5 months ago, and already have it... I don't really understant how this estimated time works, does this 11 months apply to cars that already ordered, when i ordered my car it showed that approx delivery time 6 months, now 8 months later i didn't get any information on my car, so how legit is  https://www.marnet-mobility.de/aktuelle-lieferzeiten.html afterall?

So it fits the delivery estimation given on that webpage... it arrived even faster than estimated.

The estimation is given for currently ordered cars - that's the time someone who orders now should wait for his car. However, that estimation dynamically changes depending on various factors (semiconductors, fire @factory, war etc.). Obviously, when you have a car on order (such as mine) already 7 months ago, and suddenly the delivery estimation increases from N-months to N+4 months, you can also expect your car to be delayed also, if it was not already in production when the cause of the delay occurred.

Looks like across the board VAG are keeping delivery times locked up tighter than a state secret, no mention of the Octavia under Skoda. Have also noticed in the past few days whilst having a look around that leasing companies are claiming delivery in Jan 2023 for the VRS TSI and March 2023 for the TDI.

"Octavia IV - Probably from Q3/2023". Holy moly that's a long wait. I know I've been told it's likely 9 months to get mine but that's a long wait.

Of course, they all graduated the Marketing School "cum laudae"
Why publicly announce bad news, when you can simply omit that piece of info? That way they can't be accused of lying...

Of course not, the have to sell more cars 😉

There are many new Octavias on the streets here in Slovenia, especially police ones, so someone is getting cars, just not us. Our business is just not important to them. We can acquire a PhD in why we are not getting them, but it boils down to one simple fact and you probably already know what that is. ;)

We are cursed? :D
