Delivery times?

In Slovenia there is only one Octavia Hatch DSG on stock, which is electric and I don't want that. It is also very expensive.

Yep, and several 1.0 petrol Fabias… A Sportline was available a while ago, but those sports seats are too big and wide for me.

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

On a side note, I like the nickname Octy 😊

Apparently my car is being built W/C 4th April (Ordered Sep 2021).

Is there a way I can track its progress? Through the Skoda app?

Thanks

burn i do hope it is right, you have only to read the many posts including mine.do not believe a word they tell you.my car was built weeks ago.then told waiting for parts.i was told just a slight delay,it is now 5 weeks after that message and every week pushed back a week.good luck

I’m going to wait for sure…there’s no chance I’ll get the same spec car for the price I signed…anyhow like I said it looks like I’ll get even the facelift 🤣

I spoke with my dealer earlier today and the news are bad: the situation in Ukraine has pushed everything into chaos and all his orders has been changed in the system to the term "Delayed". Apparently there are several subcontractor factories in Ukraine that Skoda depend on and it has made an already bad situation much worse. The fire earlier this year delayed production with 2 months, now with the war in Ukraine production is delayed until further notice.

Considering all this, I doubt I will get my order delivered this summer (I ordered it late June) and I think I would be lucky if it were to be delivered until the end of the year. The situation is just...insane.

I’ve been following this thread and this is already my 3rd build week. I’m not really expecting it to happen to be honest!

You're such lucky clients... having either the car built (even though incomplete) or knowing a build week (even a shifting one).
I've never had a build week, and it's been 7 months since I placed the order. The best piece of info I got was "your car is scheduled for production" without them (dealership) knowing when/what that means - so in the current overall context it could be very well mean next year. 🤕
On the bright side: the turtle might beat the rabbit... not on arrival time, but on delivered product - we might get the facelift, as @Dado82 was (seriously-) joking.

Here in Australia it is similar. If you are prepared to take a stock model there are 102 to choose from: https://stock-cars.skoda-auto.com/959/en-AU/?state=OK&aid=zu6di518-t05t-kjlu-u64l-owbqpwe2jray&or=www.google.com&step=filters&ModelFamily=NX_2021.

There are even 40 vRS models, 37 of which are wagons, like mine.

I see that some of them are demos, and unlike the situation a year ago, the demos are selling at a significant discount compared to the new cars.

Interesting to see that you have 1.4TSI and 8 speed gearbox. Neither of them are an option here.

https://stock-cars.skoda-auto.com/443/fi-fi/?step=filters&ModelFamily=NX_2022 Only one available and thats a G-TEC.

True, prices have gone way up, need to consider that as well.

Delayed until further notice, yep, that was kind of expected with everything going on atm. Still hurts though…

It says only Enyaq is affected by Ukraine situation, so dealers again just grasping for straws with excuses. If anything, this should mean more chips for cars in EU, because currently they are not selling to Ukraine and they will probably stop production in Russia if they haven't already.

Skoda production is stopped in Russia.

I can’t even imagine how that feels, I hope it stops asap.

J.J. went up there…he will fix everything…🤦🏻‍♂️

There is a linked article about production from the 1st and from the 3rd of the month, so maybe Statements from Skoda 2 weeks on are relevant.

The Neon Gas exported from Ukraine or not as the case might be is going to have a major affect on the production on chips.

Quick update to my order.

Called yesterday (today is 11 months from order), apparently car is "in production".

They told me that they will contact main importer to get more accurate news if the "in production" status stays until next week. Apparently they have less infos than main importer!

Their opinion was that some part is probably missing but that it should be completed soon (few days). If it does it should be in Slovenia in approx. 14-30 days!

Honestly i don`t believe anything they say, so i am waitting for next week to either get some proof or new BS news

Yea, I just read, that Ukraine exports around 50% of neon that is used in chip production and that these companies closed. Nice, probably 2 year wait for the car now.

At least you are waiting for a company car, I need it for personal use 😒

Same here, I've planned to go on a little road trip in summer, now i see that i will be lucky if i get car next year. Additionally no stock octavia in Lithuania. I knew i had to choose other brand.

On a side note, I’ve been seeing more of them on the streets lately, both versions, limo and hb. It just makes me wanna stop them and ask when did they get them and if they are satisfied - if it’s worth the wait 😊

For a brief amount of time there were several Octavias on stock here too. But there's a major downside for someone who ordered the car at least six months ago - the price increase. Last month there was a similar Octy to the one that I configured, but the price difference was huge, somewhere close to 20%. It had a few options I didn't want for myself, but still the price difference was too much. As long as my old car still runs, I can wait; however, the delay is still annoying...

There appears to have been a price increase here too. A car with the same spec as mine has increased from $60260 to $62590, i.e. by 3.8%, over 9 months. Compared with the idea of waiting months or even over a year that increase would not make me walk away.

Haha, I've been noticing the same and similar thoughts :)

One day later I see only half the number of vehicles. It is down 60 in total now, 22 VRS, 20 of them VRS wagons.

Must be some gremlins in that site.

And I may have been mistaken about the demos. They probably did not have the Premium Pack which accounts for around $7000.
