How can it be that the original rims don’t fit the original tyres?

I dunno, however he said, that factory informed him that M+S tyres can't be ordered with the rims I chose (Rotate Aero R17), so I needed to order ,,Pulsar Aero".

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

Were they a more expensive option? Both are nice though. But still don’t get the point, they are the same dimensions…

Yeah, dimensions are same, so I really didn't get it, neither the dealer was able to explain what is the problem. ,,Pulsar Aero" are a bit expensive, needed to pay extra 200 euros,i don't think dealer trying to cheat, because he made pretty good discount, so its doesn't make sense.

As we have already established here, a lot of things don’t make sense. But I hope that eventually we will all post in the pics thread on this forum and not only here. Thanks for all the support, it’s a bit easier knowing you’re not alone in this mess.

I have no idea. What they did, all I do know is that it stops the oil sensor failure alarm going off on it.

That thing has been replaced 6 times, tested 6 times and it kept failing, so they did something to the wiring harness and I don't get the failure alarm anymore. 🙂

Ah I’d imagine there was a fix at the cost of the harness manufacturer to address and issue with the harness then.

Which is odd because they changed that at least twice. 😯

Me too, although my order is different type of engine 😉

Nice to see that cars are still being delivered and that we have something to look forward to. I have to admit that I have again started checking the used cars market, although I said I never wanted another one…

One question though, I was told to have a guaranteed price given at the order date, now I’m not so sure anymore. Has anyone else had the same experience as NicktheGreek? I do know the price in Slovenia has gone up 3 times so far (last time end Feb).

This was the second greek guy on this forum, who had to pay more money. I guess greek dealers see an opportunity to earn something extra. I am sure this money does not go to Skoda. :)

Today got update on my octy, dealer informed that car should be delievered in 2023 week 12, (car was ordered in 2021, August) so if it would be delivered in time the total wait will be 19 months.

Good news that price is fixed and cannot be changed. How is the situacition with other brands?

What? If my dealer approaches me and delivers news like that I will definitely be cancelling my order. 19 months is ridiculous.

What configuration did you order? Was it a MHEV or a PHEV? I'm asking because for the IV models they announced some weeks ago they will have big delays, and dealers were not taking any new orders (at least here in Romania). Just trying to figure out what's the reason for the delay... So far we knew about inner door panels (say... +3 months???) and PHEV (q2-q3 2023?).
On the other hand - was there a maximum delivery term on the Contract when you placed the order? If so, what did they say about the delay - do you have to agree to an addendum to the Contract with the new delivery estimation? I'm asking 'cause my order is also placed in August '21 - but different model as you can see in the signature - and the maximum delivery term by Contract was 45 weeks. And so far they don't seem to go beyond that term, since they told me a month ago that the car is scheduled for production (without knowing when... 🤕).

Yeah, it's insane.

Octavia, 1.5 TSI MHEV, DSG-7, Ambition.  Estimated delivery date was 2022 march 15, the dealer informed if i agree to wait, the price cannot be changed because contracted is singed. The car will be on leasing if i ever get car... so the actual owner is the bank, and the banked asked me if i'm willing to wait, because if i'm willing to wait it's okay with them, they just need to check my financial situation every 3 months. However i don't know what to do...the fixed price is okay, extra year to wait is not....Dealer said, that he gives 1% chance, that car will be delivered this year, he said that miracles sometimes happen....Maybe someone know what situation with other brands? What delivery time?

Yes, it is strange that from many posts on this topis, only Greeks have to pay more. I even asked my dealer, if I add something to the configuration, does the price of the initial order stay the same and I get charged only for the added options. He said yes.

I am sure nowhere else is this bad. Run man, just RUN... It would be much better if you had this information before, but here we are. 😞

Yeah, just called VW no cars in stock, wait about 12 months, Renault told that no cars in stock wait about 9-12 months, Toyota...in stock only corolla sedan and the price is 30k Euros, if i had this information in august when i ordered skoda.

On Skoda Romania: Octavia stock is down to 1 car (1.5 mhev manual Ambitition @24.500 euro), but there are 66 Superb in stock (53 diesel, 2 PHEV, 11 petrol).
Renault Romanian stock is a bit different - cars are not in stock today (those are quite few), but there are pre-configured cars with delivery terms in June, July, August etc. There are more than 600 cars to be delivered until the end of September, various models and specs. I wouldn't say it's such a long wait...
Don't know too much about other car brands.

@Neil99: the door panel issue is not surprising. The time predictions were that they would need 2-3 months to get back in production after the fire at the end of January. That means they should be able to restart producing those components in the next 4-5 weeks, not sooner than that.

Did your car get to any status at the factory? Thats totally mad delivery time. I've also ordered on august, but at least its in production. I would not know what to do, since its in production = VIN is MY22. It would be a year old car in 2023 delivery.

19 months is really insane. I remember, when my father ordered a cars (L&K OIIFL - 10weeks / L&K OIIIFL - 14weeks), those were fine days... I have vRS ordered from CW02/22 with planned build date CW40-44/22, but right now it seems quite as a sci-fi . Anyways, if I would deciding now, I don´t know if I would change anything. There is nowhere to "RUN". Because there is really not much of and alternatives for TSI Octy Estate vRS.

A little bit of additional information, friend of mine who ordered octy in May of 2021, was informed that car should be delivered in 2023, 5 week. Orginal delivery date was scheduled to october of  2021. I hope you guys more lucky than we are. :)  Cause this wait time is just insane.

No, earlier this year, dealer informed me, that car scheduled for production and should be delivered in summer.

Ordered Octavia SE L 1.5 TSI 21/6/21. Week 9 2022 confirmed build. Current status still in Production awaiting parts. I am assuming awaiting door panels. So interested in any updates people see relating to production of these restarting, if only the fire hadn't happened!

The fire was really unfortunate... Especialy  in situation, when Enyaq is stopped and Kamiq and Scala are limited. They can put all resources to Octavia and the are missing door panels. Real pity.

But on Czech webs in interviews with Škoda managers was said, that restart of production of door panels in second location should happened in couple of weeks. So I am hoping, that till end of April they could manage it.

I wanted to ask my dealership, if the build week was changed or not, but I am scared what would I hear, so I did not ask yet :D.
