  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

Am I correct in thinking the wiring harness issue with the Ukrainian supplier is an ENYAQ problem rather than any other model? Found an article this morning saying the supplier had managed to resume production a couple of days ago, but Skoda are also trying to bring a second supplier onboard which should be up and running within 3 to 4 weeks.

Factories in Ukraine are still working. Person from VW said 9 out of 11 factories are still making the wiring for their cars.

I checked with my dealer and they said that car already has the VIN number in system, but it has the note that delivery is postopned. They also said that this means that car will be here in next 3 months tops. I ordered Octavia 1.5 tsi manual 1st week in January 2022 and delivery date was originally planned for 1st week in May 2022.

Does anyone has such experience?

Most the experiences on here are either people having ordered last year with no communication since or multiple delivery dates being pushed back. There has only been a couple of very lucky posters so far with relatively quick deliveries.

No no seriously, this was said to me. And I also ask if 3 month max. for sure and they said “Yes only 3 months more”.  If this will be true means waiting time of 6 months.

Unless you are fortunate enough to have specified a car that maybe a stock one (struck lucky), otherwise then I would say that they have been buttering you up to get a sale and have been told a lot of lies, because if you take the time to go through this thread, I would say you are being extremely optimistic about what the car industry would describe as a rapid delivery.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but it's just being truthful.

I hope you are lucky and you will get your car in time, however, then i will have even more questions how Škoda works, how queue is formed and organised,  because my wait time a the moment is 7 months, and 12 more months to go. Btw where are from?

But then again Skoda does über trolling moves and be awsome with fast delivery for recent orders and forget about all those orders of a half a year ago :) Probably a car ordered for the dealer itself or a car that was canceled for whatever reason.

Just to clarify things, I saw my VIN number and note near by in the system… so I guess something must be true…

@Weed0 Welcome to the forum.

Can you say what country you are in and maybe even the name of the Dealership which will then give people more of an idea about things.

Especially if they have a car ordered from the same place.

he probably mean 3 years not 3 months 😁

I think he may get it even before that 3month period. Cause why not?

After all, this is Škoda we are talking about 🙂

Meanwhile after 11 months+ i am stuck on the status "in pruduction" 😅😁

Yesterday i was at the dealer, they even called the importer to check wtf is happening.

Info is:

Car is in production (meaning that it may been finished, or waiting transport)

If the status change to "unfinished" then it means it is waiting for parts outside of production line.

And when they get status "in transit" they receive mail and call the customer.

I got mine in Feb 2022 after ordering in July 21. SEL iV PHEV with LED pack/petrol blue/different wheels. 7 months and that included the week or two at the start and end getting the order in through my workplace and having it delivered to my house at the end.

Remember an Internet forum like this, and this thread especially, will attract people who are having problems with delivery times to discuss them. I understand that it’s been very frustrating for those people but it’s less likely you’ll get people saying they had a short delivery time as happy people tend not to say anything!

This thread is for people to discuss long delivery times. It’s going to attract people who’ve had to wait a long time, it’s not a good sample of peoples waiting experiences. Happy people don’t complain. And most Skoda owners won’t be on this forum at all.

@MiniNinjaRob You are posting on this thread and appear happy!

Where in the title or the OP is there a clue about this thread being about it being to discuss long delivery times?

Is it not about people discussing 'Delivery times' that they are given or when they have received cars?

People happy are posting and there are lots of Skoda Owners and prospective owners on this forum.

There are lots that are happy on it and there will be many not happy that are not on it.

PS

Sometimes there are Skoda Employees that come on the forum and do not tell anyone that they are.

That happens on the Dealers section occasionally where they say what a great service they get.

There used to be a Director Owner of a big Dealership Group that came on with attitude when criticised or posts were negative about their terrible customer service.

I never remember him coming on when someone big upped his Organisation.

Waiting from March 2021 - so I may be the winner/looser in this waiting game :)

yes there is a few of us in the running for that title, hope i dont win it.good luck

Tbh, we are here to compare notes 😉 I am quite happy that I found a group of ppl who share the same experience.

I guess we will all be rewarded for waiting this long with higher prices or with going back to the line. I think this proves my theory, that people who ordered the car with lower price are getting skipped. That is why my coworker already has the car, cause he paid more.

Translated clip from a Czech article 2 days ago:

As car manufacturers and their suppliers do not have the necessary parts and components, Russian aggression in Ukraine is gradually beginning to affect Czech customers waiting for new cars. According to Martin Feller, sales director at Louda Auto, the carmakers are announcing a further extension of the delivery times of new cars. "Even those that have been ordered and entered in production for some time. In addition, the number of models with a current delivery time exceeding 12 months is constantly increasing, ”says Feller.

David Prostý, director of fleet sales at the Havex dealership, also confirms that the situation is likely to worsen. It is almost certain that the price of cars will jump again. According to Prostý, cars that are already in production could also become more expensive, and they will be delivered to customers at a different price than when they ordered them.

"If importers decide to take such a step, it is a one-sided step, there is no room for discussion. Customers react displeased, but they can choose whether to accept the price increase or not take the vehicle, "says Prostý. But that puts customers in a difficult position. If they refused to raise prices, they would move to the end of the line while waiting for a new car, and if they saw the car at all in a few months, there was a real risk that they would pay even more for it.

According to Prostý, the most problematic cars are the ones with the highest equipment, such as the Superb or Kodiaq from Škoda Auto. Octavia is still one of the unfortunate record holders in the waiting period. The company will soon be joined by the aforementioned electric Enyaq, for which most car showrooms are now accepting orders for the third quarter of the year.q

Btw just got an info from other dealer...

He says that if the car enters production, and gets the status "unfinished" it has 3 months top to finish it and deliver.

They can't have car more than 3months in "production" aka parked somewhere.

So this dude claiming that his car is in production after just 3months, and his dealer saying it will be delivered in 3months max is absolutely right 👍

Called my local dealer about trading in my kodaiq for a new octy iv. Wait time is currently 10 - 12 months according got them
