Each time I ask the dealer he check in the system and send an email to request more information from the mother company and recall me to give me the feedback.

Nice, I only receive answer that there is no new info and that they will notify me when that changes 🤷‍♀️

If you car was already in the parking lot, it had the VIN (motor?) number already. VIN is prepared for the car when they start manufacturing it.

 

I've had my VIN for few weeks, and was able to add it to skoda app last week. So perhaps that just means, that your car (like mine) is finished very soon

i have my my vin number and reg number and told it was going to be at dealers around 22 july but but expect delivery before 29 july.tried to find out more details but no joy at all.does it take 7 days to do pdi?i know guys who have said go to my skoda but been not been internet clued up how do it in step by step please.i have a short term lease by this massive delay and dont want to pay for another month if i can help.the lease company has been great but now the car is about to get delivered they dont want to help in any way,

I called the dealer again today, and he told me that my Octavia is ready to delevery, and this step lasts between 2 to 3 weeks. 

Mine was registered on 30/6. Finally after almost a year, delivery is tomorrow 😀😀

Hell. I see all those posts about delivery almost after year wait And feel i feel happy for you and really sad for myself. I ordered car year ago, and still do not have even build date. Are here more people like me, who wait 1 year and more and doesn't have build date?

Yep, sadly there are some. I am in a parkednoideawhenfinished club, which is also frustrating, I stopped being optimistic about a month ago…

Hell, i feel you, both situations really suck.  After a year I'm also losing hope...

i feel for everybody who have waited over a year for there cars.i have vin number and car reg but no car yet.told it will be at dealers by 22 july and should get it by 29 july.looking at things it does look like deliveries are picking up.so i do hope you ll get good news very soon,

Cheer up - when Skoda is finally ready to deliver, you could get an Enyaq II coupe instead of the Octavia - I heard internal combustion engines would be phased out by 2030.

I would love octavia as it is now. Just as full electric. Personally I wouldn't need super big battery. 150km of winter range would be fine.

I have a friend eho bought a plug-in hybrid and when he travels it consumes more petrol. And I'll never buy electric car as currently the production of battery is more producing more pollution than using an evonomic petrol motor. And the disaster will arrive when we will have a huge amount of batteries to recycle. I prefer waiting the hydrogen technology to take place.

Ordered an SE Estate in March of this year with a couple of extras and the dealer rang last week to inform that it's been built and is waiting to be shipped. Was originally given an ETA of 30 weeks (November) when ordered. They've said it should be ready to pick up at some point this month! 

 

I was honestly preparing for next year at the earliest when reading these forums so it's quite the surprise. Here's hoping this is a sign of things picking up for others who have been waiting a while.

I do feel rather fortunate compared to some 🙂 fingers crossed that the Energy Blue looks nice in the flesh - I've had a lot of difficulty sourcing any "real" snaps of this particular shade and just hope I don't regret cheaping out and avoiding the paid colour options.

I think the wait time is heavily dependant on the model ordered, anyone whos ordered a phev or a vrs (or both) have the worst waits. 4 months is great, when I ordered my kodiaq back in 2019 I had to wait nearly 5 for that

Octavia mk2 delivery time in 2008 was 3 months. Mk3 2018 was 2,5 months. My mk4 order is today 11 months old. 😀

Because I also ordered my Octavia RS in this period from Switzerland and I was wondering if my theorical delivery date of October-December 2022 was pretty much correct
