Cars that are made from about now, will all be MY23. About not getting the car until 2023 is not about MY, but more about incompetence of Skoda. So unless you are very, VERY lucky, expect the car no sooner than 1 year from order.

Yes, this Q3 is there for some time now. It is very funny that for all brands the delivery time of models is measured in months, only Skoda has the privilege to have time measured in Qs. What is next? Years? Decades? 🤣

Some of these posts are making pretty grim reading - I ordered an Octavia Estate iV on November 12th via leasing company and was given a 30 week wait. Into week 38 now and no word - can I assume I’m looking at maybe a 13 or 14 month wait in total? 🤷‍♂️🤔

Most likely you will have to wait at least 13-14, because there some problems with iV and  also most of us have like 12 months wait, so i don't think you will be exception. 😅 and as things go, i can't tell that Skoda learned their lessons and production is getting better.

The iV has had massive delays, and for few months none were being made because the wiring looms were being made in Ukraine and Skoda had to set up an alternative production.  This happened about March, and the dealer supplying the leasing company would have known.

 

Depending on who you believe something like 35,000 - 55,000 Octavia were built with parts missing (generally electronic components, due to semiconductor shortages), and/or interior door panels missing after a fire at the suppliers factory, and are parked (banked) awaiting finishing.  Some of these now appear to be trickling through.

 

If I was you I would be asking the leasing company for the latest delivery estimate (and make it clear you want the status checked, not someone giving you a random guess that sounds better than really is)

For iV you shouldn't assume 13 - 14 months, assume longer.

I ordered octavia combi ambition 2.0 TDI (85kw) with some extras in april 2022 and I got estimated delivery time on KW16 2023 😕

Hello guys, my dealer wrote me today that the car has now an engine number, too, and it's expected to arrive at the dealership between the 5th and 9th of September. Let's see...

got my car today and done a 30 mile run on motorways and side roads with no problems at all.touch wood.now going to trawl through everything to get the settings i want.no dubt i will be asking how to do certain these because i am not up to speed with all of this high tech stuff.

I drove to a Skoda store this morning. (Not the same one I ordered my car at a year ago, because that store has been sold to another company lately, but to a store which belongs the same company I ordered from.) Did this just to take a look at the new Octavias, as I am still desperately waiting, and to ask if there is any hope.

 

Got to hear that my car is already at Hanko, which is the place all the new cars arrive here in Finland. Unexpected good news!  We booked a time for collecting in the end of august, but it can also be earlier. Must say though, that a week less or more is nothing after one year´s waiting.

Nice and congrats. I have to contact my dealer, Laakkonen, in next month and ask if there is any new info. Ordered in the beginning of december. First estimate was july, then october, now december maybe.

Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier

I ordered from Laakkonen Tampere october 20th. Should have been manufactured on week 28. I asked monday if it’s ”coming soon”. They said that nothing has happened…

i got my vrs on wednesday afternoon,already have software problems,can you tell me what soft  and hardware and sat nav number you have on your car please.i have already contacted skoda and they are going to get back to me dont know when but not a very happy person at the moment.

Ordered my IV early last year already a year beyond their original delivery suggestion with no build date lined up. Still playing the waiting game
