Oops. Next week* 

I still have 36/22 week production start with out confimation of production. So some hope is there but again not hehe. 

 

I hope that i will get some good news soon.

 

How much before did you get confirmed production prior to delivery to you ?

I'd say the information does come really randomly.

 

First i got no info after february, but then suddenly it was ready, and right after that it had arrived to my country. I was sure that the shipping would take 4-6 weeks, but seemed more like 2-3 weeks. 

It has been a long time until I post something. I did cancel my order, and I am waiting for my advanced payment return.
I did found another Octavia, it is brand new MY23, it's black and have around 4K € of more additional equipment from one that I did order.

That one was ordered last year and buyer cancel order 2 month ago, and this one was finished a month ago. I did check dot on tires and they are Good Year (not sure which model) but dot is 22/2023 so less then two months, buyer was unlucky since when he did cancel order, car get in production. This is one which was not waiting for parts half-completed. So I am very happy with that

I will post pictures once when I will pick it up. Maybe this or next week, we are working on lease ATM. 

Can't wait for activation in the app 🥳

Does it have 4k € more equipment or is also more expensive?

for some reason all the problems have gone.do not know if they did all the fixes  over the air.they must of done some thing.what i do not know.just start to get to know the car a pleasure to drive.good luck in getting your car.

I think we already established Skoda doesn't give a **** about you or me or others on that list who are waiting a long time. This is a company and all they really care about are financial results, which is expected. So they will produce cars that have higher margins. These are cars ordered later for a higher price for example. Or cars ordered in other countries. Or just different models. So earlier orders are their lowest priority. Normally there will be some exceptions with some lucky orders. By now it is clear how they operate and no, they are not incompetent as I first thought and they know exactly what car is on the list and when it was ordered. So what can you do about it? Nothing. The only advantage you have is fixed price. For now. They also know, that people who are waiting for so long are already angry. So why make more angry customers. They squeeze in some old orders to production from time to time and that is it. I have already accepted this and don't really care about this ****ty car anymore. When it will be made, it will be made. If it will never be made, it won't. I just don't/can't care anymore. 🙄

No one has yet got a MY23. All the cars which have been waitinf or parts are MY22.

Thats the same thing with other car makers. This battle is not only for Skoda. There perhaps is some truth, that they prioritize cars with better margins. Seat is prioritizing Cupra models.

For me the fixed price for new and old car is a good thing. I've driven about 10000km over the contract and the new car has gone up almost 4000e.

 

No one of us are happy with the situation, but you would have the same rant with eg bmw. Just read a local article where two guys ordered a bmw X5. One got hes earlier than promised, and other had hes car lost in transit for few months.

 

Some has gotten their car even ordered after me, i'll be getting mine before someone else. This delay and not knowing about delivery is not only about cars. Its on many electronic devices too.

 

I know i'm not helping you, but just try to keep your head

Maybe true, but maybe this is just an exception and that is why this story made the paper. For Skoda they could make an encyclopedia, that is why you wont find it in the paper.

i waited 14 months and 6 days for my car.i was told it was built and on its way to the uk.i got it 27 july but should of had it a week or so earlier,due to balls up at there end for paper work.then i had a few software problems and complained to skoda who said they were looking into what has gone on.then yesterday the car was working perfect but cannot find updates they have done over the air.so fingers crossed all is well oh by the the way the car is great to drive.good luck to you all in getting your cars soon.

As my story is very similar to yours, I am probably too curious, but still dare to ask if you had ordered your car at Laakkonen Espoo (which isn't Laakkonen anymore)?

I've got mine from herttoniemi. Had better deal than Airport, unfortunately. Herttoniemi is not close to me.

Same here actually. Got a better offer at Laakkonen Espoo, than Airport. But since the Espoo store was sold to another company, my order was moved to Herttoniemi.

Yeah i noticed that too when i was randomly browsing Laakkonen's pages and didn't see new cars dealership. I wonder what happened.

Unscientific and anecdotal evidence here in South East UK... I’ve actually started seeing one or two new Octys on the road everyday now. Until 7-10 days ago I have been the only one in 2022. Must mean something?!
