Set your car alarms for 4am!!!!!!

Featured Replies

The bl:mad:  dy vRS alarm started going off at 4am this morning then every 40-60mins after and it's driving me (and the neighbors) bonkers. I read a previous post about pressure in the car possibly setting it off but it had been standing fine outside the house and not driven for 36hours.

It's only done this once before when visiting relatives and there were very high winds and rain. It was quite wet this morning but not much wind so i can't see why it's playing funny beggars.

Is it a fault or does this happen to others and can i turn the alarm off?

TIA

Is it a fault

Yes ;)

You can try turning off the interior sensors by pressing the lock button twice when locking the car. Also ensure that any vent flaps in the dash are closed.

If it persists then contact your dealer.

Things to check,

Insect flying around inside car,

New air freshner

Window slightly open

have your tailgate release and open-close sensor checked. out mine went on the blink and i had to have it all replaced . caused a lot of problems with alarm going off in the night till i worked out what it was:thumbup:

also check the interior lights, if i leave one of these on in my octavia it does exactly as yours has been doing :)

quite confusing at 3am :o

Also check you bonnet isnt open.

also check nobody is trying to ssteal it!!!!!!!!
