10000k blue xenon bulb and powerful LED side lights - factory fitted xenon cornering lights.

You’re really limiting your audience by keeping the mods. Return it to as standard as possible IMO.

You also say it's a 54 plate.

Its modified but has all parts included to return it to standard. So as standard as you want it? It's brilliant having something that you can drive down the road and doesn't look like someone who has bought it because it's a car. But up to you - you have the standard parts kept for such situations. 👍

Late 54 plate. Just before the change - some companies show it as 2015.

That’ll be a 64 plate then.

Might be worth tweaking the additional DRL bumper lights to make them road legal? Pretty sure you can't show a blue light so I'd suggest either making them white on driving or disabling/removing them :)

At least that way if the new owner has issues due to them, it's down to them

As above.

I get you have the standard parts but to get the most views/enquiries it’s be best to return to standard yourself first. I’d personally scroll right past this car on Autotrader. The mods - to me - are undesirable and I will be in the majority thinking that.

Totally agree with SCO3OTT.

So no one likes modded cars on here and they all want their car to look like the next person's? Have all standard parts and wheels and original fake exhaust tips - you'd just have to cut the twin tips off.

Not true, many (most?) people on here mod their cars - BUT legally, which blue lights showing most definitely is not.

While that's true we are not representative of most buyers (who tend not to join owners forums) and for them ANY mods will stop them buying.

I guess it all boils down to whether you want the best chance to sell or are prepared to wait for an enthusiast buyer to come along?

Modified cars will always put some people off as they are more difficult to insure assuming you declare them.

The mods you've made might not be to the taste of your potential buyers. I'm not saying people don't like them but if you want to maximise your target market, removing some of the mods will probably help :)

Nobody here is saying they don't like cars with modifications, but when selling it's best to present a fully or fairly standard car. Everybody has different tastes, so it's better to buy a car and mod it to your own particular taste. Plus of course, if you take the mods off before you sell the car, you can also sell the modifications separately.

Sounds like you're going to be disappointed with the replies.  This forum is mainly used by people with Skodas or are interested in buying Skodas. What you've done is take a Skoda and tried to turn it into something else. I'm not knocking that, I'm just saying you're asking the wrong audience.

When people on here 'mod' their cars, it's typically taking a bog standard Skoda vehicle and upgrading it so it looks like a much newer model. There's lots of technical problems in doing this, the challenge being to overcome those issues.  For example if someone on this forum wanted to upgrade to an 'Android' infotainment system on your pre-facelift MK3, they'd install the latest Skoda system from another car to make it look OEM.  You've not included any pictures, but just going on the exterior, I'm going to assume you're upgraded infotainment system is from Halfords (or similar store).

Rather than Ebay, isn't there some 'performance' magazines you could advertise your car? It might appeal more to someone there.

Thanks for all your replies. Taken on board. Will remove and see what happens - just haven't got the old exhaust - just the fake bumper tips.

Easy to say until you get stopped for some other reason and the PC's take a look round the vehicle, if they spot blue lights they will metaphorically 'throw the book at you' and check EVERYTHING else (tyres, MOT, insurance, driving licence, penalty points, etc.).

Not worth the risk IMHO.
