Umm new car musing...

Featured Replies

Colin, Passat 4motion would be a good choice, I was very impressed with the one I played with, If you start looking at 2wd cars as well dont forget the Superb, we spent ages wracking our brains over what to replace the Octy with & finally decided on a Superb which we pick up later today

Our brief was for a comfortable economic car that had enough space for the odd Family + friends trip to the continent. The initial idea was a new Octy Estate but by the time youve up specced it you are paying Superb prices & the Superb comes with all the toys the Octy would have had + a few.

MPG for the 2.0 Diesel should be 50+, A little tweak to the map will see 180-190 bhp should you need more power, overall its a more comfortable car to drive

Also as its not so popular you can get some serious discounts, weve paid under 18K for the elegance.

Guessing your going secondhand you will get one for a really good price & you will have the comfort of knowing its basically a well screwed together what I always call re badged Audi but with cheapish garage bills if anything breaks, I think some of the other cars mentioned will hit you hard in the pocket if they break, there again Nissans dont !!

Happy hunting, there are some good deals around.
