Hi All

Are the aftermarket EGR's any good also Gas temperature sensors?

If they're from a branded OE supplier then they're probably ok. Otherwise not.

Unless blue print parts or oem parts no they usually are rubbish and you will spend loads of time after trying to sort it out, I have used Skodaparts.com on this site the parts are oem approved and vary in price but are all ok for Skoda VW etc

DPF worries

Hi again. I have a 1.6 tdi My daughter recently had to sell her VW Sharan after the DPF was pronounced dead. At least 2K to fix,probably much more.Her car was low mileage,full service history. Can I protect the DPF on our much older vehicle,are there options if it clogs up? Thankyou

Hi again. The service light won't reset using the press the trip method ,also the aircon won't blow out of the face vents despite recalibrating (might be another fault I guess) so Im thinking I'll need to reset the service light with a diagnostic tool Which one though? I should add I've never used one .

Hi everyone, I have a Skoda Fabia with a 1.2 AZQ engine. I have a warm running issue - the car misfires/stutters when fully warm. The intake air temperature (IAT) reads around 80°C when the problem occurs. When I unplug the EGR connector the car runs perfectly and IAT drops to around 30°C. Parts already replaced: EGR valve (new) + adaptation done MAP sensor (new) Coolant temperature sensor (new) PCV valve (new) EGR pipe is clean, no carbon buildup Breather hose between EGR and air filter ho

I first noticed water splashes on the plastic next to the area where the drivers feet are, A pillar area following heavy rain,initially thinking that water was getting past a door seal. Further investigation revealed water was leaking from the panoramic roof,onto the headlining then running down the A pillar trim,behind the plastic panels and being absorbed by the sound deadening under the carpet. 2014 SE. Had a low battery which failed to start the car. New battery. Car will start but dies after 3 seconds. Full tank of petrol. Dash engine light goes off but EPC remains on. Dash panel shows 'Safe' at all times. List of items checked: All fuses. Key fob battery. Spare key tried. Cam sensor changed. Ignition barrel and reader antenna changed. Crank sensor passes check.
