How to update map software and radio logos

Featured Replies

We just got a 2020 Kodiaq SE Drive (70 plate) and I have no idea how to update the maps, or even the radio logos. From what I have seen the cars should have SD slots which have an SD inserted into it, but I can't find anything in the glove box or around the dash. There is nothing. I do have two USC-C ports.

I activated the Skoda Connect services which I have until Oct 2022. However I couldn't work out where or how to update the radio logos or even if I need to update maps.

Any help appreciated.

You cannot update the radio logos or maps on the MY21 cars, which a 70 plate would be.

The map updates is over the air when Skoda send it to your car and radio logos are down to the radio station.

Just at add, it is better to ask questions in the Kodiaq section not in the Kodiaq quides section

@Billywizzo thanks for clarifying. That’s good I guess. I don’t have to do anything. I’m assuming though that these updates are only possible if you have the services enabled. Once that runs out I don’t get updates.

Also sorry about posting to the wrong place. Is it possible to move it somehow?

Thanks again.

Sorted.

I believe that the updates will always happen as the esim will always be connected but some of the services may not work if you have not renewed them.
I am sure my dealer told me the esim will always work but I would have to pay for some services when they run out.
