hi all

have a 69 plate octavia vrs . I set up google maps on my car for my sat nav ( prefer it over the one that comes with car) used it for 6-8 month with out a problem one or two drop out. car went in for a service a couple of months ago ever since then when i start car and set google maps it continuously drops out every minute or so sometimes worse 20 secs or so. i am using a samsung galaxy a70.

my drive is M1 & M25 so there is no reason for the continuous drop out it driving me mad

have they reset something that makes it cut out maybe its trying to keep using the factory fitted sat nav but i cannot find it.

It's more likely to be a failing cable or bad update from Samsung or Google.

 

If you haven't already, I'd suggest replacing the cable as that's a cheap and easy thing to try.

 

Might also be worth posting a picture of the SW version for your radio too. It should be under settings, system information or something like that. For example:
