Columbus or Bolero

hey!
this week I'm about to sign for my next car. now... the one question in my head is Columbus or stock Bolero 10".... 
can you tell me if there are any other differences between those except gps functionality?
I will use Google maps. I know that I can't display on Virtual Cokpit those maps. but hardware fidelity or codecs, future updates priority, better screen touch... anything that can help me

I test drove a car with Columbus, didn't find Skoda maps good and the sign recognition is a feature which I don't want, so it's another thing to turn off constantly. Went with Bolero, the few times I need navigation google maps is better anyway.

Hi, in Sweden maps are ok (though Google is better) but I love to have the Map on the virtual dashboard. I also have sign recognintion and together with HUD it works like a charm. 

The Columbus maps show traffic congestion and Laura even comes on to say traffic heavy ahead. I like it

Laura, voice assistant, is available only with Columbus or with bolero also? not navigation comands of course. heating, cooling, etc

Laura works with both, Bolero doesn't have maps, also if you get Bolero you miss out on lane keep assistant (self-driving stuff) and sign recognition.

Bolero does have maps but you have to upgrade 390 euro was the last price(there is a screenshot somewhere here)

Sign recognition is part of a package(at least here) and it wants columbus indeed, but it should be possible to work without it.

Line assist has nothing to do with navigation. ACC does due to some reason...

Lane assist does exist on Bolero, I meant travel assist (self-driving), that requires Columbus, at least here. Confused the titles.

You can mostly get active travel assist with distancing and sign recognition but it will bot let you take your hands off the wheel and it might get confused on corners so its a bit 50 50:)  i skipped that one on our build. The distance alert(on the dash) is sufficient for any driver to speed down the car if needed. Jam assist is tbe only feature that acc seems to provide that is useful 

Behaviour seems to differ between versions and countries. For me travel assist works fine and is working well with nav data, slowing down before roundabouts and crossings, shutting off engine when on ACC mode and a slope is present. I have no problems with curves and lane changes,  actually I like it and is very satisfied with it.  The time I can let the car drive by itself is much longer than my last Octavia III, however I did not buy it to be able to take my hands of the steering wheel...

Same here, not a single problem with pACC and Travel assist. If I use navigation it will let go of the accelerator couple of seconds before actual sign (example 130 limit on the highway and 100 sign before tunnel) and just slowly break from 110 to 100 instead of breaking from 130 to 100. I really like when it outs car in neutral copule of hundred meteres before roundabout or intersection and slowly break. If I don't want for Travel assist to break on a sign I just put my foot on the accelerator.

i dont get the take off hands of the wheel part. lane assist and acc is getting disabled in that case?

Lane assist and travel assist are different things, lane assist doesn't allow you to take your hands of the wheel because it doesn't keep in the middle of the lane, it will only try to catch you when you're crossing the line. ACC is separate too.

I’ve just bought a used Octavia 4. How do I know which one I have? The manual seems to have identical pages for both systems. Or is it just an upgrade from Bolero to Columbus if you install maps? I have maps btw.
