Central locking Felicia 1.6Glxi.

Featured Replies

Hello,

Have been having intermittant problems with the central door locking.

Offside rear door lock tends to lag behind other locks when operating..and often needs the drivers door lock to be operated 3 times or more to get all locks down....I have removed the door trim panel and lubricated the linkages but still it gives trouble...

Similar now happening with the front passenger door...sometimes it is absolutely fine...another day it needs the drivers door lock operating many times.. With this front lock it has become very hard to lift the inside lock button and turn it with the key.

One snag is that it is hard to find the fault and/or see if a cure has been made because once all locks have been moved 3 or 4 times in short succession the whole thing will be fine for the rest of the day and the fault cannot be replicated until after a period of not moving locks..ie; the next day..!!

Any thoughts..??

Thanks,

Clive.

I have the same prob in a 99 LXI and a 96 GLXD passenger front passenger door does not lock or open..... try the key that side its so hard to turn you fear snapping it off! WD40 emptied down the hole, its ok for a few days. Not sure but the way the locks lock think the front passenger is last in the line and ...... well like you I'm open close 3-4-5-6 times from divers side before the system clicks into life, to then start all over 30 mins later.

Its quite common for the solenoids to seize up.

I also have the same problem with my 1.3LXi, sometimes it opens perfectly and then one day one door will remain open and it takes a few turns of the key to lock all doors. is there anything to cure the problem once and for all or is it something that I have to live with.

I have a similar issue - the n/s rear door dosent work on mine... i would fix it, but rarley have anyone in the back - so cant really be bothered.... sounds like solenoid issues tho...

Hello,

Thank you for the replies on this one...

Is there a fix for the sticking problem.??

Can the intermitantly seizing solenoids be freed up..?? or is it a case of replacing the failing ones.??

Thanks,

Clive.

Replace em.

Hello!

I am looking for the central locking with remote control for my Skoda Felicia. I dont want any universal. Original for Felicia car only. Any tips for some catalog on the internet with number of this part? Or some reliable web shop for Skoda Felicia parts? Sorry for many stupid questions, I am a new member.

ebay

For some reason my central locking seems slower to engage when cold sometimes needing 2 attempts but always works fine in warmer weather, dont know why...

ebay - no chance, any other idea?

dont think they did remote locking for the felicia, only central.
