Hi all,
I have a 2018 Karoq – all going well until the other day when the electric boot door stopped opening fully, stopped halfway up – then when I pressed the button to close the boot door it wouldn’t close, stops halfway and the button sounded a beeping sound, and I had to push the door down to close it.

Has anyone come across the same issue? – It would good to know if there is a ‘home fix’ I could compete before going to the dealer / mechanic.

BTW my version of the electric boot is not the version that can open when you place your foot under the boot.

Is it possible that you have set the maximum allowed opening to halfway by accident? Try pushing the boot to the desired height by hand and long press the button as show here - https://youtu.be/kyHW-xeSEuY

 

The closing down problem sounds like a more serious issue (sensor or motor).

I will try the maximum allowed opening issue and video posted by skoda_disconnect and if that doesn't work looks like it's off to the dealer / garage.

It also won’t close if it thinks the key is in the car and otherwise locked?
