ok this is probably a stupid question.

is Skoda-Auto actually owned by VWAG or just partners/whatever?

i keep having a long running arguement with my Polo driving friend, he's unlcear aswell and i know i will get a positive answer through here.

i have looked at nearly everything i cant think of, i know Skoda is a VWAG member, but are they owned by or merely heavily invested by?

in short.. who actually OWNS Skoda-Auto ??

VW may own Skoda, but it seems Skoda usually pip them in every test run comparing the two marques in similar classifications. Even IF its a taxi. (and mine's a rollerskate )

ok cheers, going by that link they had bought 31% in 1992, and then upto 70% in 1995.

can anyone confirm if they did actually buy the remaining 30% ?

If memory serves correct, VW still own 70% , with the czech state still retaining their 30% holding.

Anyway, IMO the real daddy will be Porsche when they eventually own the controlling share of VW.
