Remove ACC Radar Cover?

So the ADAS was working before your visit to National Tyres and it worked for a 'few weeks' after the work was done and when the fault popped up the dealer blamed National Tyres for not recalibrating, yes?

This is more than plausible yes.

the car has 2 calibration methods.
first being static calibration which is done to set the base position and uses marker boards and lasers to set it perfectly. After this dynamic calibration kicks in and this is a constantly occurring thing that happens when you are driving and will make small tweaks to the calibration the more you drive until it finds the sweet spot.

For example if your Yaw axis was static calibrated to 2.5 degrees (fairly far out but within tolerances) and then you had wheel alignment done, the dynamic calibration would keep adjusting 2.6,2.7,2.8,2.9, system too far out of tolerance and brings the warning light on.

this is why some inexperienced people will just keep recalibrating a car and then wonder why it comes back a few weeks later.

Thank you for this post.  I’ve got a 2016 Superb which developed the ACC unavailable fault on 4 days ago on Thursday.   The lovey sat nav diverted me away from traffic (on a long 4hr drive) down a county lane, ended up hitting a pot hole.  I hoped the error would clear itself but no such luck. 4hr return trip today without cruise control / ACC.
so it looks like I need to visit an approved ADAS garage or Skoda to remedy this.
mill reply once I also have an answer.

Exactly the best reasons for forums. If it’s not from the pothole it could inadvertently tell you your alignment is out

ACC stopped working in the rain last week. I was expecting it to work when the rain stopped! On poking my finger through the grill i noticed some cob-webs and leaves stuck to them. However I am only able to clear the outer edge and fear there may be some more debris behind it and therefore looking to see whether I can pop the radar cover off and clean debris. The cover is intact with no damage, has been cleaned on the outside as well as the upper camera has also been cleaned. Can anyone send me a diagram, video or instructions to safe removal of just the cover. MY22 Superb estate L&K

@PWP I've got the same problem but did succeed in getting the radar cover off. You need to extract the two rubber plugs on the slam panel above the cover. Look down each hole and you'll see a cut out in the plastic below, poke a small screwdriver in this slot and it will press on the release tab for one of the top clips of the sensor. Release both tabs like this and you'll be able to wiggle the cover a bit more. I found that bottom clips came fully free before the top ones once the cover was loosened at the top.

I cleaned quite a lot of debris off the back of the cover so had high hopes of this fixing it but after a week and about 400 miles of driving ACC is still unavailable with DTC C110300 Adaptive cruise control sensor: misadjusted sad

Thanks for the reply! Popped the bonnet this morning and no little rubber bungs on the slam panel unfortunately. Need to try and locate a parts diagram or book into the garage:-(.

Looks like u have a facelift Superb.

It has a different bumper grille design.

Yes, I think it is! Will have a look and maybe download a service manual and hope that holds the key! Many thanks all!

Any luck figuring this out? I have the same design

I downloaded a manual but it didnt have the detail on the facelift version and it seems from what I can see...its a bumper out job. I sourced a USB-C flexible camera that plugged into a iphone and effectively created a borescope which had a little light. I was able to look behind and it was basically some leaf litter and spiders web. I wasnt able to easily access to clean it so what I did was attach a section of brake hose to an adapter to a hose pipe and then I basically sprayed the area blind holding the end of the brake hose with some long nosed pliers through the grill. Hope that makes sense. So managed to clear the fault and its worked perfectly since (except when it was covered in Ice when it was -6).
