19 wheels?, 9.5 et41 with 235/35r19

Featured Replies

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well this Saturday, I'm having some issues about buying some 19 wheels (I read some threads but without this setup specifically) , the big problem is to find out if some of you had or know if this configuration fits without rubbing:

19, 9.5", et41, 235/35r19

Will they fit shows this difference, but I'm not pretty sure if there's enough clearance

Update, the offset is 45 not 41, my bad😅

That's too close IMO. Can you not go narrower? 8.5 or 9 with slightly lower offset should be fine.

I think it's tight, particularly when you're turning.

I know it's more money, but what about using racing coilovers, because that will reduce the diameter of the spring and spring perch, giving you more clearance.

HI KenOneill!, thanks for answering, about lowering, the big problem it's that I'm scared about start to scratch the front bumper and the bottom between the wheels. Before the octavia I had an audi s4 b8 with 19 wheels and h&r sport springs, it was beautiful but a headache because I had always to be checking if "it would scratch in that parking?, what about this shopping can I go there?, no I can't, let go somewhere else", so because of this, I was thinking (eliminating the coilovers option because of the cost) to buy the 28833-1 h&r springs and mount it in conjunction with the bilstein B6 that already are in the car(previous owner put them), but I'm afraid about start again with these issues, one of the main reasons that I decided to buy the octy was that you can drive almost everywhere without problems, so, yes, the optionsare:

1-to stay in 18" wheels with springs, but I'm not sure if the b6+h&r sports will be a headache

2- going to 19", with 8.5" and et 45 as much, but needing to lowering to avoid the Traktor look

HI Marky!, yes that could be an option but these specifically are in a really good price (like 1.100 usd the set) , the owner bought these and when he tried to mount them in a Mercedes but it was not possible (probably the caliper didn't fit)

Another option It's to look for some golf R wheels (pretoria are 19), probably they will fit without issues.

I didn't mention lowering, largely because you should be able to select a ride height with coilovers.

You r right, I'll check some b14 bilstein but again, this will be an option probably if I go with some 19 wheels in order to compensate the Traktor look and that scenario increase the cost (wheels, new tyres, coils)

Hello there!

I just wanted to update you about this, finally I decided and purchased some pretoria R 19 wheels!, the set up is:

19, 8j, et50

Front : 15 mm spacers

Rear: 20 mm spacers

Tyres: contisport contact 5 235/35r19

I really liked the look, probably I could think about lowering but I don't want to start the scratching issues in speed bumps, parking lots, etc.
