what do you like and dislike about your Octavia?

Pretty much like everything about my car, I love the DSG, but why at 30mph does it bounces between 4/5th so much, that's quite annoying.

Start/stop button on the steering column a bit rubbish, I know it's cheap to just put it there, but it should be on the dash somewhere.

I dislike the previous owner sprayed the extreme wheels all one colour 😄

Are you in eco mode? If not try it. It's far less sensitive to gear changes.

  • Had my 1.6TDi for 56k miles and nearly 5 years. Apart from the noise that has already been mentioned and a desire for a 6th gear there is little to fault really. The car feels solid and ideal for trip

  • I find the electric window switches poorly placed. Too often I end up winding the back window down when I want to wind the driver window down. They're too close together and the back one is in a more

  • I'm not a huge fan of the rubber handle to pull the boot shut.

I used to drive around in eco, might give it a go again. Annoying having to turn it on each time, lol

Really dislike the way the GPS works - why does it always default to assuming that you want to depart country you are presently located when you search a new destination?

Can you explain that in more detail? I'm confused by what you mean.

Hi Ords, when you want to go to a new position, the navigation always requires you to enter the country first - rather than default to a location (or postcode) in the country you are already in.

Seems very odd.

Try clearing all your personalisations - one may be rogue.

No. I never have to enter the country
