rear suspension Geometry

Featured Replies

have notice  that while traveling over  man hole covers  etc  that the  back end  seems to step out ... anyone else  had or experienced this ...?  i take it that the rear end is  adjustable  etc ?

im having same issue with passenger side, it kinda skips over some man holes and motorway lines/cats eyes, i read a thread couple of days ago about bushes in the arm where the coil spring sits, whether this fixes it i dont know,

mine also makes a weird thud type of sound

rear is adjustable as had mine aligned but still doing it,

gonna get it up in the air n have a look ..  from eye site it looks like the rear wheels have some negative camber on them ...

Try dampers

Our felt a bit like that. The rear springs were sagged the dampers were original but seemed OK. New springs and wheel alignment helped significantly.

Edit. If the car is lowered or sagged it adds more negative camber so you can also adk the aligner to back that off as much as possible as well.

Yes. Find a local place that does Hunter alignment.

Google it.

If you read through this forum, it seems that Hunter is the preferred way to do alignment on an Octavia. Place I used, had an inspection pit which makes it easier to do from underneath once they have the parameters.
