mileage / time to next service.

Is there a way to find out when the CAR thinks it needs a service and/or inspection.

I don't have the inspection warning coming up yet.

But last service ( on ERWIN ) is showing at 28134 miles on 30 - 10 - 2020.

The car is now at 33243 so is under mileage but longer than 12 months ago from last service.

I would have expected it to show by now.

I can view it on my Maxidot display.

not all models have maxidot.

 

I think 'miles to next service' shows up on the LCD display for a short time when the ignition is on.

They are all Fixed Service Interval so 372 days / 9,400 miles so regardless of miles you can choice to do an oil service & servicing or not if the last record is over 12 months ago.

No Maxidot display on my Citigo, but I can see it on my Fabia III.

 

Just don't know why the Inspection warning is not showing as it is over 12 months since the last service.

Am beginning to wonder if it has been ( accidently ) reset.

Did you buy her from a dealer? If so, did they do a service that hasn't been recorded on the system but did reset the service interval?

Yes I did buy from a dealer.

 

They didn't do a service.  ( But the service interval has been reset, see below. )

Found this using OBDeleven:-

 

' SIE: distance driven from inspection - 2500 KM ' Presume this is rounded to the nearest 500 Km?

55 Days ago was 3 Nov.

 

I don't know when the dealer first got the car on a trade in.

 

I first found the car on the dealers website on 5 Nov when it was advertised as having 31718 miles.

 

I went to view / drive the car on 7 Nov when the mileage was 31718 before the test drive of 9.4 miles.

 

I was the first customer to view / test drive the car.

 

I collected the car on 14 Nov and went 3 miles to the fuel station and filled up at 31732

 

Mileage today minus 1553 miles  ( 2500 Km ) is 31731. I presume that the 2500 Km is rounded to the nearest 500 Km?

 

The Dealer printed out a full service history from the Skoda Erwin website after I bought the car.

 

This does not show a service done on 3 Nov 21. See first post.

Doesn't sound like an accident to me, done to deceive prospective buyer if done by dealer. If done by the the previous owner, to deceive the dealer.

The previous owner didn't even remove their paired mobile phone off the sound system.

This also had their first name tagged on it.
