Can anyone help me with it, please?

Thanks very much.

Youre using an old version of VCDS (im hoping legit)... and it is not able to ready UDS fault data so we cant tell what it triggering the fault, you either need new VCDS or ODIS to read the fault code correctly.

This could mean there is a fault stored in another module and it is transmitting bad data or it could be so many other things.

It's not an old version of the VCDS software, it's an older VCDS cable that cannot support the longer CAN bus messages on newer cars - hence the [New feature! Extended UDS fault detail is only supported by current gen. interfaces] message.

What @zahabyneeds is either a HEX-V2 or HEX-NET cable.

Hmmm.... The message in the scan says that you have an earlier interface cable such as a HEX-CAN but the picture shows a HEX-V2?

Sounds very much to me like what you have is a clone cable pretending to be a HEX-V2.

My best advice is that you contact Ross-Tech [email protected] including that photo of your cable and ask them for assistance.

Thanks very much @PetrolDave

  • 1 year later...

This is an illegal China copy **** cable that pretends it is a V2 UDS cable but it is a car destroyer crap.
