I highly doubt such a thing would fit due to generational differences between the Mk1 and Mk3.

what about some remodeling of the body or the parts?

It would require extensive and expensive work, if even possible, which is unlikely.

Your best bet is getting the bodykit from the RS (or vRS), or trying to find the Sport or SportLine bodykit from another car.

Hope this helps. :)

how much would the remodeling cost and what would i need to do to fit the bodykit onto it.....is the difference between models so big?

@lazybones251Welcome.

If you have the skills you can do anything,  Sounds like you have not.

It might look naff but as long as you like it.

So have you found a R5 Body kit that you can afford to buy to start chopping about?

I'm unsure if it's even humanly possible. If it is then expect to be paying more than just about anyone could fathom from their back pocket.

See above about it not being humanly possible. @roottoot provides a good answer, however.

Yes. Panelling is dramatically different, platform's are different, engine is different. You name it, it's probably different.

Once again, hope this helps. :)

i know thats the point i mean i work on bikes and so on but not so much on cars i know u can bend parts and body parts on cars and so on the shape is close ig so not the worst thing.....i mean i seen people build whole cars out of nothing and u couldn't tell the difference if u weren't told that it was made out of scrap

I went trawling this forum a long time ago looking for sommit unrelated and found this WRC inspired Mk1 Fabia - Its a wee while ago and I don't know if that particular car is still around or what ever happened to it or where the kit was sourced from (did the back doors come from spares that were in Budapest or did I dream that ...?)

Some of the more senior fellas about here might remember this one !

She looks the part and is as close as I've ever seen to a WRC

You can still buy glass fibre body kits from an Eastern European company, someone posted a link on here recently. There was quite an assortment available.

However you must answer some serious questions about the cost and your level of ability and facilities available to do the work.

Most of the kit must be bonded into place and the car will need repainting, this is very expensive, if you can't do the work yourself then it will cost thousands with new wheels and tyres as well.

Relatively cheap considering, of course shipping is another matter.

The MK3 version of any vehicle is always bigger and lardier then the original.

The Golf has gone from a lithe athletic shape & size to a SupersizeMe lardar5e over its many iterations.

All of the current Mini range of vehicles are an insult to the memory and creativity of the late great Sir Alex Issigonis.

Can you imagine what for instance an original windscreen peak from a MK1 Mini would look like on one of the modern abortions?
