Have you checked fuses ? Does the Passangers side switch move the window ? What about back windows ?

checked all the fuses they all look fine to me, the passanger window and the back windows all work with their own switches.

You could try the key in the drivers door trick... turn key one way and hold, windows should go down, then turn the other way, windows should go up, and that's it... Not 100% sure if this will work, but sorted out some window related problems with mine...

No it doesn't open any of the windows and the central locking button doesn't work. i'll let you know about the karting tomorrow can i bring a mate?

Sounds like the central convenience controller is in need of replacement. Its not cheap. If you're around Dublin, I can hook up VAG-COM and it'll tell you whats gone wrong!

RE: karting - bring as many as possible! We're happy to have more victims, ahem competitors..

Take the panel off and check the door loom, we had one with the window not working and found that a couple of wires in the loom had chafed through, where they run across the bottom of the door.

Yeah it would be graet if you could do that, I live in Drimnagh where abouts are you?

The UK price for a central convenience controller is circa £185 according to ETOS. At least a couple of members have had to have theirs replaced in the last year.
