Onscreen temperature display.

Featured Replies

When either the driver or passenger adjusts their temperature the small LCD display next to the temperature knob adjusts to the desired temperature.

The infotainment screen also brings up a display to do the same, which stays onscreen a short while. This sometimes blocks access to pressing functions behind that display.

It's not a huge issue, but I am wondering if anyone has found a way to stop the infotainment screen from bringing up the temperature display?

I have scoured the manual, car settings and forum and not found anything obvious, so the answer may well be that this isn't possible, but worth an ask.

I think you just touch the screen and it goes away / back to where you were.............

Yeah just tap the dead space and it'll fade back to whatever you were doing.

Another gripe is the background picture when you change to sport / comfort. Fine in the day but incredibly bright and blinding at night. I can't believe someone tested it in the real world and signed it off

Haha I don't want it full stop, I don't want to tap the screen, I don't want it to appear in the first place.

You'll know from my OP that I assume there is no setting for this, but there should be! I never understand the purpose of double-dip information. There is an LCD display with the temp, there is zero requirement for an onscreen display of it.

I mean it pops up for all of 5 seconds and then it is gone, youre driving at the time so if you cant wait 5 seconds before touching the screen then you must be coming to a stop shortly in which case why adjust the temperate anyway?

I dunno, just seems like youre picking a inconvenience that is really not a major issue in any situation.

It's a good thing in my view, a shame that they have not blocked access to all the "display functions" from the driver when the vehicle is in motion, most of them should never have been put there in the first place, 100 years of research and development of orgonomics and driver safety through well placed tactile controls thrown away in order to tempt those who want a car to be an extension of their phone.

Just for clarity, in my original OP at no point did I ask for anyone's opinion on anything. I'm asking a settings query.

If people don't have a response relating to settings knowledge, then please don't respond to the thread.

Thank you.

p.s. they have onscreen functions in cars because cars also carry passengers.
