Does your digital instument panel settings change by itself?

Featured Replies

It's becoming more frequent that when I switch on the ignition, certain display settings change since I last drove the car.

I've set my default digital display to the 3rd option. It displays a sat map in the centre with average mpg and stuff on the left side with speed and radio station on the left. However occasionally, I'll start the car and all that's displayed is the remaining miles until empty. ( that might be the 4th display option? ).  I have to flick thru the settings until I get to the 3rd display option, then change 'remaining miles' for 'display map' to get back to the display I want.  The system the clock is also altered.

I went out to the car this afternoon approx 3pm, started it up, the display had changed as described above and the clock showed 8:34am.  WTF!

I haven't a clue what's happening. There's no pattern to it, not sure why it's resetting the time. It hasn't done this for at least the past 6 weeks - it just seems to change at random.

Anyone have a theory what's causing this to happen?   I have the personalisation function so I guess that if I were using one of the spare keys, it'd display something attributed to that key...  but neither of these keys are ever used. In any case, neither of them is set to display only miles remaining.

I have an analogue dash and the middle dash section (the digital bit) randomly changes too. I prefer to have it on the speedometer. I get in the next day and it changes to something else - and I have no idea why. Very annoying!

I appreciate it's not the same system as the maxidot display between the gauges, however the default setting for Virtual Cockpit seems to be automatic (whatever that means).  Skoda knows best presumably?

Mine only changes if another user profile is selected, I have the dash set up one way and my wife has another display setup under our profiles.

Mine don't the same a few times aswell. But now seems to be OK.

Happened to me yesterday...

Happens to me especially when the car hasn't been driven for a couple of days and also after a heavy frost. Usually the clock has stopped at some point and/or the setting in the centre of the display changes.
