Radio language swapped to German

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I am new to briskoda I was given the link to see if anyone can help with my problem.

After turning my ignition off and then on again to my horror the menu on my radio etc had changed to German? Even though I have changed it back to English this doesn't work?  It comes up with a grey box saying in German that that language is already loaded? Ihave no volume no cd etc.  I was told that it possibly wants a firmware update.  I do hope someone can help me with my issue.

NAND in your unit is overloaded. Indeed reloading software may help, if not then NAND must be reformatted but this require special SW and HW tools.

Thanks 👍🏻  Do you know of anyone who can do this?

@Rustynuts he is the man to sort it out for you, as mentioned on FB , I have had exactly the same issue. I have sent the unit to @Rustynuts who kindly reloaded software on it for us. Radio back on a car since then with no more issues.

@RussellF you can try doing it by yourself, if doesn't help then you must find someone who has some dedicated tools, e.g. SetConfig.

look at this link its all explained👍

I dont think that site covers using SetConfig tool, that does seem somewhat more specialist that firmware and map updates.

From my ivestigations the software has to be paid for and you need to remove the unit and either make a data (seriel) cable or buy one.

reloading software is your first port of call
