Karoq USB C music

Featured Replies

Hi All. I've just my collected my new Karoq SE L.  Surprised that there is no SD card slot in glovebox. So trying to connect the SD card from previous Karoq via a USB-C multifunction card reader.

When I select Media I just get "No readable files". It worked once randomly but otherwise nothing.

Any advice appreciated.

Odds are you will get better success with a native USB-C stick rather than the SD Card reader.

No idea why it worked once, and once only, SD Card read only?  Maybe it was trying to write some meta data or file onto the card and failed?

Those USB 'C' are awful no apparent mechanical support to them they rock about and even just fall out.

I run my usb 3 stick on a cable with a right angle 'C' plug to straight usb 3 female adapter and don't disturb

the set up unless I really have to.

I transferred all my music files onto one of these: MyMemory 128GB Dual USB-C & USB 3.1 Flash Drive - 200MB/s £22.99 - Free Delivery | MyMemory

It fits under the sliding cover and gives me no problems. (You can also get similar devices with more memory if needed.)

Chris

PS: the MIB3 infotainment system also lets you set favourites for the memory card - such as individual albums. artists or genres.

Thanks for the responses. Bought new memory stick and extension cable. Worked first time.
