Does anyone on this forum have Traffic sign Recognition as a choice on the Skoda Connect App Store.

I had it for a few months in the beginning (got my car in February), but now it is gone.

Did you get it from the App Store as a trial / bought or was it preinstalled and it's no longer working. 

 

Here in the UK it's difficult to even find out if it's available for the Octavia though it does appear on the Function on  demand service list

It was in the list of available purchases in app store. I think after one of the OTA updates it was gone and never to be seen 😀 I was going to buy it actually, but i guess waze will do for now 😀

What was the price? Hope it will come back

I have  sat nav, lane assist but I'm still no nearer to getting it

I wrote to Skoda in April about this, and the response I got back was:

Having checked with our Parts Support Team, I can confirm that the Traffic Sign Recognition is not available for your vehicle. I am sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

 

I responded saying that owners in other European countries, with the same spec vehicle had this feature available in their respective stores, and was effectively told I was wrong.

Just found this on the main Skoda web site. TSR available as function on demand from production 06 2022.

 

I think that means nothing for those with anything already manufactured. Going forward I think this a nail in the coffin with regards to any future mods and upgrades and I don't just mean activating equipment already installed. For example. If you might be looking to get Ambient lighting retrofitted in the future, there is no way of activating it as its locked down with swap codes which you will never be able to access. Unless someone manages to hack the system in the future.

great...available for my car...TSR as well as ambient lightning  - additional features and colors...

but still dont see it in shop...

Still nothing in the shop? Has someone received the option to buy?

I deliberately ordered for delivery before April ‘22 to avoid this as a mandated option. Very surprised people are wanting even more autonomous control.

I've checked the link again, now it's showing that my car is 6/2021 - 6/2022 period and it's not available for my car...they updated the db... 

To revive an old thread and add some useful information..

We can add any/all SWaP/FoD functions to any car, regardless of if it's available to purchase in the Skoda store or not

I am asking because I have a SIII from 2023 and picked up the Skoda connect page that offered TSR FOD to Octavias but not at all to Superbs of a similar MY. The dealer is saying I have the "wrong" A5 camera but apparently TSR could have been ordered on the SIII as a factory option.
