Tall drivers in the Superb

Featured Replies

I recently bought a Superb 2022 and there's a lot to like about it. I am 1,9m, or 6ft3in, i believe, and having the seat in the lowest position still isn't low enough for proper visibility. The windscreen is smaller than on some other cars, so that doesn't help.

Is there any way the seat can be lowered any more? I have the regular electric seats. Do you seat lower in the Sportline seats?

I'm 6'3" and have no issues with the seat height on my 2019 Sportline - I don't even think I have it in the lowest position.

I am more leg then torso, so that may be where the difference is.

I have no complaints either, I am 6'3 too, and I have a sportline too lol.

I'm 6'4" with an estate SEL. Seat is at its lowest point, but quite happy and no issues. I'm more torso than leg!

Also another tall one here, is the rear of the seat at its lowest, ie on max sloping backwards.

I do find the mirror  us in my sightlins at junctions, but nothing new.

My 6’5” son has no problem driving our 280 either; seat all the way back and all the way down, but he does raise the front squab.

Thank you all for your comments. I'll try to sit in a Sportline to see if there's any difference, and I will probably just have to get used to these seats.

Have you tried moving the seat significantly further forward or back and then seeing if it will lower more after that ?

It has sometimes seemed to me that the overall seat base position makes a difference to what height adjustment it will allow.  If it does then lower further then you can re-adjust the forward/back distance after.

6' 1" with my seat as low as possible and I find everything is perfect for me, excluding the internal mirror.

On certain road-contours I have to duck to see what is coming, plus I also find myself on motorways ducking to see if anything is coming down sliproads, plus the mirror obscures indicators on some vehicles while I am passing. So...not the best, I do a lot of ducking, but it has become second nature.
