Maybe if you supply your VIN to @pab567 he can tell you what is fitted, and maybe send you a solution/suggest a swap part (he can supply radio parts if needed)

2012 Skoda Superb so I guess this is Columbus RNS510. Pls remove the unit and post a picture of upper cover label so I can let you know how to proceed further.

I am having the same problem on my 2014 Superb Estate. In the last couple of weeks it has been slow to get started and now it won't come up at all, just continually trying to reboot.

As above, best post the information @pab567has asked the other person for.

You can try to hold down menu/setup button to see if you can enter engineering menu if lucky, to get information out of the radio.

The handbook I have with the car shows it is a Columbus unit.

I managed to get my unit to reboot today.😀

I turned on the Bluetooth on my phone, linked to the car, selected my music player app, pressed play and it came up on the unit. 👌I could then select all the normal functions. After completing my outward journey and switching off the ignition I wasn't sure if it would work for the return journey. It didn't come up on the first attempt but managed to get it working on the second attempt.😁

I'll monitor how long this new booting-up procedure will last for.🤞

When it is running pls long press SETUP, select SYSTEM INFORMATION and share wtih us SW version

Well, that was a short-lived success,

can't get the unit to boot up now.😩

Hi, Mike here.

I have a similar rebooting problem, I have a 2015 Superb Estate, my Columbus unit has DAB radio, I can't enter setup mode.

Model number is 3T0 035 686 N , HW: H27 , SW:6276.

Initially I thought the HDD was failing so after using Paul's excellent HDD replacement instructions I found my unit already has a 32Gb PATA SSD drive (Cactus KD32GF-210 FW:0513.)

I connected it to my PC and checked the contents. There are 3 partitions, one of which show up in windows formatted in FAT32. I successfully made an image backup (using Ashampoo Backup Pro) and restored it to an old 80gb disk I had spare. Because it successfully copied I then reassembled the original parts and the fault remains.

One thing I noted is that the fault initially was intermittent but gradually becoming worse, the colder the weather the more likely it would work normally I am waiting for a cold night to see if it bursts into life again. I think my firmware is the latest but not sure, my maps are well out of date (as original installed).

Anyone have any thoughts about the above?

I'm Thinking about buying a refurbished unit with latest maps but no DAB and maybe try fixing mine in the meantime

Thanks in advance, Mike Bush

@Mikesuffolk Welcome to the forum, I would say that you may have cloned over any firmware corruption that might have existing on the original.

6276 is the latest AFAIK for that software/hardware combination.

The only suggestion would be to see if it will accept the firmware being reloaded over the top, we did in the last few months have a few where their units suffered in this way,  For two, loading on firmware helped them.

Thanks Varoom, I do not have any firmware CD/DVD or any Map ones either so not sure how best to source them

Can you or someone "burn" a CD-R?

Yes I can burn CDR and DVD, sorry Varoom that I didn't reply earlier, I have just picked up your message

I can send you a link to firmware to try, and see if it will stabilise system.

🙂 🙂 Thanks, It will need to be the 6276 revision, I think I will also need to reload the maps too by the looks of other chats?1979333688_skodaRNS510.thumb.jpg.7cbfc384677de5e16e4f0b039af2a2c1.jpg

Or it's the internal power supply of the head unit. I've ended up buying a replacement head unit. Completely aftermarket but with canbus connection
