Skoda Superb 2010 - problem pairing new phone

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Whilst I m pretty useless when it comes to modern technology , I have managed to pair my new Samsung S22 phone with the Columbus system but every time I start the engine I am asked to enter the phone pin number , which I can do either via the screen of the Columbus or via the small screen behind the steering wheel.

I never had to do this with previous phones and I wonder if anyone here can help me to get over this problem, as it is a pain in the neck having to enter the pin number every time I start the car.

May be you should try to unpair your phone and pair it back. It may reset everything.

At least it’s worth a try

Tried what? Reboot or the secure folder thing?

based on ur profile, i.e. u have a  2010 mk2 Skoda Superb -  u have an RNS-510 Columbus unit, which uses a separate bluetooth module (9w7 or similar) that usually sits under the driver's seat.

this is completely different to the mk3 Superb setup.

u r better off asking this question in the mk2 Superb forum.

I unpaired my phone and then paired it again but same problem exists i.e. I have to put in the pin mumber every time I start the car.

Told you I am useless with modern technology🤣 Now I'll have to work out how to post it on the mk2 Superb forum🙃😅

I believe you have BT module that connects to your mobile in RSAP mode and you have PIN enabled in settings. Pls share model number of your BT module (I think in RHD cars it's located under driver's seat) and disable PIN in your mobile's settings.

Thank you very much.
