Help frustrated! Osr indicator not working!

Featured Replies

This is puzzling my beyond belief! Octavia vrs tsi estate 2010. Osr indicator not working. Checked all wiring at light end all good, small bit of corrosion in fuse box terminal f16 taken part cleaned checked for continuity all good. Still not working any suggestions? All other lights are working fine just not the indicator. (Replaced and tested indicator bulb) throwing code p1505. Any help would be appreciated!

Usually caused by corrosion on the ground wire connection but unlikely here as other lights are working. Some reports of poor contact to the bulb in the holder. I suggest you take out the whole light assembly and bench test using a multimeter or continuity tester with the bulb in place.

Many suggestions for your fault code on the net including:

and:

Also maybe it needs a throttle body clean.

Had the bulb holder on the bench with my multimeter and it’s all good. Throttle body was cleaned less than 6months ago when I changed the intake mani and carbon cleaned the valves. Signs are pointing to bcm I reckon 👎.

Apologies it’s B1505 not p!

Hi,

Can you describe More in detail how this happened, did you install something, coded something, installed aftermarket xenons maybe?

Can you Post auto scan for The car?

Had Similar issue, but only that The OSF bulb Was allways on, dont remember The codes which i did have.

I had faulty BCM, The ic chip on bcm which controls The bulb Was burned.

I had 1K0937086G unit, If you have burned bcm, source new with exact same number to avoid hassle. (Needs to Be coded) byte18 for o2fl

Maybe you can test to trip wire off from connector at bcm,  connector T52A PIN 9, to measure connection beetween bcm to bulb If its okay or short.

Here to another Forum, where is pinout for BCM

No install of anything. The only thing I could think of is the small amount of corrosion on f26 on the engine fuse box has cause a bad connection at the bcm looks like pin 9(thanks for the link to the pin out!).

this morning on the way to work it seemed to work a couple of times. So I’m gonna check the pins tomorrow to see if it’s burned out and repin and check again!

I’ll update as I go in case anyone else has this issue!
