Blind spot Octavia 2l diesel septembre 2014

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I started to mount the Blind Spot on my Octavia. All hardware and wiring is mounted according to the various information I found here and there.

On the other hand, I have problems with coding / configuration

First it marks me a Bus error

And also faulty sensors

Finally, here is the full scan of the car

scan comp.txt

Who can help me?

I think it must be an update to make a box, but I must say that I'm in trouble......thanks for your help

Fred

Welcome - What coding have you done currently and I mean list every piece of coding or changes you’ve done so I know what you have missed/done wrong.

also did you follow any form of guide or what to know what needs coding/changes? And is it applicable to the mqb platform

I’ve done quite a few of these without issues and it looks like the part numbers are correct

Hello ApertureS,

first of all thank you for taking the time to read and answer me 🙂

The procedure I did is as follows:

For the "master" sensor I put that there was left-hand drive, the trailer box, for Latin American waves and the rest of the world. For these three parameters I am approximate in my description because I do not have VCDS in my eyes

For the bus parameter:
If I put MQB it puts me two menus on the instrument panel + puts me in default the Lane assists

With PQ35 and PQ35LC he puts "Blind Spot" back on the dashboard et Lane Assists works again

I checked the connection of the bus wires and everything is OK (if I reverse them I can no longer communicate with the sensors) I also tried to reverse the right and left sensors and as much as possible to communicate with the master

For car coding

19 - Data diagnostic interface
bus The list of equipment → item "3C - Lane change system" → activate it → save.

03 — System Electronics
braking Byte 29 Bit 7 enable

I can't change this one, I think my ABS block is not the right one. When I go under the byte I just have the byts displayed but no text (with VCDS), I tried to modify the encoding of the byt directly, it can do it but when sending the encoding, I I have a "request out of time" fault code

17 — Combined
instruments Byte 5 Bit 3 activate Byte 11 Bit 3 activate 76 — Parking assistant
Byte 3 Bit 6 enable

5F— System of electronic information

Adaptation → Car_Function_Adaptations
menu_display_side_assistant: enable

menu_display_side_assistant_over_threshold_high: enable Car_Function_List_BAP:SWA_0x1A: enable

SWA_0x1A_msg_bus: CAN_Extended

Once all that is done, I have the "blind Spot" on the counter and MI1 assistance menu, when I try to activate it it marks me "system not available"

I hope you understand me because English is not my language😥

on this link all the photos showing the different menu and worries according to the coding of the type of BUS

I hope that these additional elements will be able to help you.Ider to help me😁

Hello everyone,

I come back to you because I have made very little progress on my problem.  A member of the community started to help me but decided to stop because my VCDS is not "real".

I bought this VCDS because it is in French on a site that seemed good to me.  That's if despite that someone wants to help me it's with pleasure 1🙂

 I can't encode my ABS byte 29 byte 7.

I don't have the checkbox, I can modify the binary code but when I save I have the error message "time exceeded"

Another problem, I don't know if I should update my PLA, and if so I didn't understand how to do it 🤔

 Thanks for reading

If the version of VCDS you are using is fake, you probably won't get any help.
Depending on what website you bought it from, it might be a cloned version which isn't supported.
The only places that sell genuine versions of VCDS and the associated Hex interface cable from what I can see (Who will probably be most useful to you) are:
Switzerland Reseller/DE Language https://shop.dieselschrauber.org/
France Reseller/FR Language https://rosstech.fr/

If the price of a genuine interface and VCDS are too expensive, there is OBDEleven which is a slightly cheaper alternative but it has a different interface and needs you to have a relatively modern Apple or Android Phone/Tablet to use.
https://obdeleven.com/fr/

Outside of those options, you might want to ask if there is anyone who lives near by who has a genuine version of VCDS and a Hex cable you can borrow.
I can't help you here as I personally have no experience of retrofitting and coding outside of enabling adaptations already available on the car.
Best of luck.

Hello,

thank you for your answer.  I don't want to make a controversy.....although a little anyway.... 😅

I'm not speaking for you who take the 5 time to help 😉

Off topic :

I can understand people not wanting to help with my case because of my fake interface.  But if you go to the end of your idea, give you a clear conscience by using a real interface while coding options that you did not buy from the manufacturer, so at a lower cost also seems dishonest to me.....

On this type of forum, you should not hide your eyes, the main goal is to do beautiful things with the help that everyone can bring, the lesson makers are very often not as irreproachable as they want to say.

I hope that despite my approximate English you will understand me and above all my goal is not to hurt anyone.  😉

End of off topic.

If despite everything someone wants to help me it is with pleasure

Good weekend to all
