I can see a part used Silver Octavia being for sale soon.

The Czech language brochure for the 2007 model year cars lets slip that they're stopping making the Fabia hatch in December this year (to make way for the new one)

They're gonna carry on making the saloon and combi, but this means we should expect to see the new Fabia at the Paris Motorshow this year or Frankfurt next spring.

That seems a bit late tho considering it's nearly ready, so might be sooner than that.

He also confirmed the new Fabia will get TSI engine and DSG, presumably for the RS

Here are some pics off the MY2007 Elegance and vRS. Sunblinds and mini-jack factoryfit and heated backseats option only in combination with heated frontseats.

Wish fabia had those brakes in earlier models :( !!!!

Just to clarify, The Stream will support MP3 as standard?

I already have a less than a year old Octy but my work offered me a new one the other day! I didn't mind either way but I'm very excited now!!

I was told by a dealer the jack is an approx £10 option now, and is standard shortly.

oh - and FYI - you can't buy a Fabia Saloon in this country any more brand new. They stopped bringin 'em in for MY2007

I may have to buy those sunshades for mine as it's a pain to keep moving it about with the sun.

Any 2007 Octy we order now will come through around early / mid September.

hmmm am i reading correctly that the only chages to the fabia are 2 new colours and an engine + basic traction control??? none of which apply to the vrs ive ordered!!! cant i have mp3 cd headunit please mr skoda :(

Can you tell me where you get the information from about 2007 improvements for the Octy as my L&K is to be built week 28

I've just placed an order for my new Fabia VRS but before ordering was shocked to learn that Fabia was being ceased in Dec 2006 for a new Model. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabia)

I contacted Skoda HQ to get confirmaton and to when a new VRS version would be available, Ondrej Tomsu from Customer Care promptly replied with the following response

Concerning your request I would like to inform you there is a new Fabia model being prepared and should appear during the next year. However, any details such as technical specifications, prices etc. have to be published yet. Also, please keep in mind that although the new model of Fabia should be launched next year, the RS version may come later, after one or two years or it may also never come.

Could this be the end of the Fabia VRS??

I'm still convinced we'll see the new Fabia before the year is out, otherwise there will be a period where no Fabia hatches are being produced at all.

As for the stated possibility of there being no new Fabia vRS that's just a PR answer. They surely couldn't discontinue a model which accounts for around 20% of Fabia sales in the UK.
