Got a Software update yesterday and noticed today that Android Auto is now a full size on the display.But it only works on my work phone and not on my other phone,both Samsung,same version of AAuto.

Looks great,but winder why i cant get it on my other phone,anyone have any ideas?👍

I got the update and have a S21, still the smaller picture

Didnt know about the developer setting,must check it out, it works good though,its working on a A42 so not an flagship phone,its still a split screen on my Galaxy note 10

Hmm 

A42 has a lower resolution (720x1600), while note10 has a 1080x2280. If the skoda display cannot run higher resolution, maybe it lower down the screen.

So one solution could be to set in AA developer options the highest resolution to 720p

That looks awesome! Was it an update to the phone or the car?

This update is enabled by Google on the server side, probably per account. That's why you have it on one phone, but not other. AA version is not that important (as long as it's 8.6 or higher), same goes for headunit firmware - not important.

Those who do not have it can only wait till Google will enable it, and no one knows what is the key here, as ir seems very random.

Looking at the button at the bottom right - does this mean you can change the view into split screen? I personally like it that way, as I can select music/podcasts, while still having the navigation on....

Yeah it does; I always run with map slightly bigger and Spotify smaller so both are displayed

Hey guys - just updated my AA and I also have now the new look. But it is the same split screen (1/3, 2/3). If I play around with clicking different apps (maps, spotify, notifications) sometimes the maps stay in full screen mode, but I cannot get them to stay like that by default. So basically the default is still split screen and there is no layout settings to permanently switch to full screen...Am I missing something?

I'm not sure we are speaking about the same...take a picture of the new layout if its not a problem

I've finally managed the size. Apparently for getting it all over the screen, you have to delete the Skoda AA widget which is 4x3 size. After I have delete the widget from the skoda infotainment system, i got the screen

I have this screen as you posted above. But how do I get Maps app to run fullscreen?? So no Spotify on the right side, just Maps full screen?

Guys is very simple to have maps in full screen just tap on maps icon on the left. Tapping apk icon you have full or 2/3 screen

Does AA run smooth on your cars/phones? I don't have the most powerful phone, LG Velvet 5G, but man sometimes it lags like crazy, especially with Waze when trying to type in an address. 

This is not phone fault. This is because google with aa is doing ****. This is century problem but google dont give a ****. Carplay is working fine all the time. 

Well, not entirely true...

Whole processing is done on the phone side, so yes, performance of AA depends on the phone.

But you are right, that AA is also at fault. It adds additional load to the phone, so even flagship phones can lag. However the more powerfull phone is, the more smooth AA is.
