Request: Someone with a superb with a passenger memory seat.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

This is a very specific request but im in the process of experimenting with fitting a memory passenger seat in a pre 2019 car.

The issue is, i think the wiring diagram is completely wrong and I need someone who can spare 5 minutes to pop a connector from under their passenger seat and take a photo for me.

This would help massively! You will need a post midyear 2018 superb with memory electric passenger seat though!

Anyone that can help - please let me know.

I'm not aware of any Superbs that came with a Passenger's "memory" seat.

Driver's memory seat - yes.

Most cars do not have memory for passenger seats.

Passenger Electric seat - yes

Passenger Electric memory seat - no, at least not that I'm aware of.

Heatwd seats or?

I'm planning to swap mine for heated ones, do you know is there any sort of connection point under seat or I need new wires, switches and relays?

You need to run the correct wires and replace the heater controls and also make sure your bcm is mid+ or high

It is an option from 2019 onwards for the superb although not sure what country or spec it falls under.

Mine has got the heated / memory seat option.

A quick look under the seat shows a whole heap of different connectors.

Which one in particular are you after?

Thing is mine had no heated seats and I wanted to know are wires and connector there or not since car didn't came with factory heated seats? Would be nice if there were wires and connectors ready.

Surely it would be better to as an owner in a LHD country for a pic of their driver seat connector?

Nope, needs to be a car with both seats

From the factory and is it on both seats?

if so, on the passenger side there is 4 connectors going into the box under the seat, the 32 pin silver/grey connector with the pink/purple locking tab.

if you can disconnect that and on the side is a small plastic release to see all the wires, I need to know if there’s a brown wire in pin 2.

I know it’s a huge ask but would help me out a lot

Yes, factory fit memory both sides; just driver has additional massage function (which is totally useless BTW!).

Got to the connector and managed to remove it , but cannot, for the life of me, work out how to expose the wires.

What's the trick to this?

On the side of the connector that the wires go into there is a small plastic tab that needs lifting a few mm then the entire inside of the plug slides out in the direction the wires go in
