Walnut blasting mk1 vRS

Featured Replies

Greetings fellow Briskodians

Hope you're all well.

I woke up this morning with the urge to get my old vRS wall nut blasted.  In other words getting it decoked. Never had this done but it's one of these ideas that just popped into my head because on occasion engine idles a bit rough. Have tried highest quality diesel at the pumps and forte diesel but not made a difference. Even driven it hard. EGR valve is lovely, clean and new.  Economy isn't as good as my previous vRS so was contemplating as this has been a problem with this car since I bought it a few years ago.

Has anyone ever had this done?

did it help?

So you're going to strip the top end to polish it all?

A complete waste of time and money on a diesel I'm afraid.

In that case I will forget it. Do you have any other suggestions for how I could spend a spare £300?😀

Something involving a posh brass and some white powder?

How long have you been using the super diesel? My fabia (run on supermarket diesel for 35k miles) took around 10k to stop producing bits of sticky black soot. You need to keep going. Don't go back to the regular until its cleaned up and running well.
