I presume you was asking a question as to which CV boots you have.  Maybe I'm wrong, just you wrote in2

yeah sorry i misunderstood what you meant :)

As usual you're overthinking this HORRIBLY, just replace the rack boot and keep an eye on the fluid level and everything is gonna be alright.

Yes, your code is 1N2 so you need Febi 21700 gaiters.

What I do is pull the arch liner out a bit and view the reservoir level with a torch.

What makes you think M10 x 52?

I'd expect M8 x 48 Part number N91108201 (12.9 grade High Tensile)

So it's all done I must say the hardest part is the ligning up and tightening the CV to flange bolts and I changed inner tie rods and doing it on Jack stands it's a pig to get the boots on and you have to use cable ties no way to crimp on the metal clips. I do have one issue though I stripped the n/s hub down and wire brushed it and treated it but I had taken off the small bracket that the brake hose clips into to hold it from flapping about but the missus thought it was scrap and put it out with the old parts and scrap man took it. I've no idea if one of these is buyable and I'm now concerned about the brake hose flapping about and if it gets damaged.

Dump your missus :D

You could buy a new bracket from Skoda or buy a used hub and remove the bracket?

...or stop doing stuff that doesn't really need doing, perfect is the enemy of good, these cars weren't perfect when they left the factory, replacing every wearing part on a car will not prevent it from rotting out!

parts maitenance and rust prevention are 2 totally different things sep and fyi no rust on my vehicle and before you say it yes ive had the bungs out and a endoscope inside to check. Personally I get joy from doing work on this vehicle and keeping a 22 year old car on the road I might say in a much better condition than a lot of cars I see only a few years old on the road. Im just not sure why you always feel the need to belittle or berate a person for wanting to do work on their car I can appreciate that your a very knowledable and talented mechanic but your people skills maybe not so much :)
